There was a recent news item that Prabhu Deva is going to a 3D dance film in Hindi based on the popular ‘Step Up’ series (scroll down for the news).
It’s too early to talk about the 3D film -- Prabhu Deva The film is to be directed by Remo Fernandez who himself has confessed that he had wrote the story with Prabhu Deva in mind.
However, when we checked up with Prabhu Deva, he said: “ Remo Fernandez is a close friend and we had a preliminary talk about it. It’s too early to talk anything about it as , as I am very choosy about the films I act. At the moment I’m happy directing films and my hands are full.”
The company which is producing the film has also told Remo “to make it with a saleable young Bollywood star who is into dancing.”

“Prabhu will have a quiet meeting with Madhuri next month, where they are planning to discuss as well as recount the song that they danced in (
Que Sera Kera in
Pukaar) 11 years back. He wants to revive the same magic on screen once again,” says a source.
Madhuri has apparently told that she ‘will think about it’ and in all probabilities, might make a cameo appearance in the film.
“Prabhu will be auditioning the original heroines of
Step Up (Briana Evigan of
Step Up 2 and Sharni Vinson of
Step Up 3). At the same time, it will be great if Prabhu gets to dance in a number with Madhuri Dixit. He’s also scheduled to hold some dance class workshops there. In between the auditions and the workshops, he will take a two-day break to travel to Denver,” says the source.
Sources say that the film is probably going to his last acting assignment. “Prabhu is leaving no stone unturned for the film as he knows that his opportunities as a hero has become limited,” says the source.

Briana Evigan and Sharni Vinson are vying for a spot in the untitled film, directed by another ace dancer Remo D'Souza. "I have been approached for the film, but nothing is confirmed yet," is all that Prabhudeva is willing to let on at the moment.
Biggest fanHowever, a thrilled Remo says, "I've been a Prabhudeva fan ever since my teen years. When I wrote this story, I only imagined him in the film. I wanted the best dancer for the film and who better than him. This is my attempt to achieve something as big as the best Hollywood dance movie."
Briana Evigan and Sharni VinsonA source adds, "The makers were considering roping in Briana (Step Up 2) or Sharni (Step Up 3D), but to their surprise both the actresses have shown interest in the film. Now the producers have to zero in on one of these hotties." And Remo reiterates, "Yes, we are talking to the Step Up girls. Let's see what works out."
Composers Sachin and Jigar are working on the music of the film (produced by UTV Motion Pictures), which is scheduled to go on the floor by the end of this year. Prabhudeva is currently shooting his directorial next Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.
