Mahat - Taapse 'friendship?' getting stronger

 

Gorgeous Tapasee Pannu has found a friend in budding actor Mahat Raghavendra. Grapevine is abuzz with the news that their friendship is getting stronger with every passing day.

It is reported that Mahat Raghavendra, who shot to fame with his recent movie Mankatha, met her for the first time on the sets of the Telugu film of hers. Since then, he is often spotted with Tapasee.

The actor is spending most of his time with her on the sets of her films. A leading daily says they are heading for a serious relationship. Indeed, he asked her to help him by introducing to filmmakers.

His presence on the sets have irked the movie makers of her films and she was told not to entertain him on the sets. However, Tapasee silenced them by saying that it is her personal life and she does not like others interfering in it.

As reported earlier, something does seem to be brewing between Mahat (who plays Mahat in Mankatha) and Taapsee. And now, if sources are to be believed, the 'friendship' is even stronger.

Their 'chemistry' is the talk of the town currently in Tollywood circles. A source says, "Mahat is always with the actress on the sets of films when she's shooting. The two seem inseparable and are seen holding hands, etc. He even asks her to introduce him to producers. His presence on the sets is not going down too well with producers, directors and the heroes of her movies." Apparently, when it was brought to her notice, the actress is alleged to have said that people should not interfere in her personal life. But the question on their mind is - if it's personal, why bring it to the sets?

It seems Mahat met the Aadukalam actress on the sets of one of her Telugu flicks some time ago and since then, the two are said to be close. "Mahat helps Taapsee as she does not know the local language," adds a source.

So called Ajith's Mankatha a Super-Hit!

Actor Ajith’s latest film ‘Mankatha’ has opened to a tremendous response from his fans and the general public. The film is the landmark 50th film in his career spanning close to two decades. Ajith’s last couple of films in ‘Aegan’ and ‘Asal’ didn’t do as well as his fans would have expected and as such, the clamour among his fans in anticipation of the release of ‘Mankatha’ was something that was seen to be believed.

The rates of the few tickets which were sold in ‘black’ on the opening two days were almost equal to that of superstar Rajini’s ‘Enthiran: The Robot’. Reports say that fans and the public didn’t think twice in dishing out money to the tune of Rs.300 to Rs.500 for a single ticket to watch the film on the first two days. The fact that Ajith is playing a full-time ‘negative’ role for the first time has only upped the craze of his fans.

Trade circles point out that the collections in the first two days was a whopping Rs.2.8 crores, which augurs well for the film’s run at least for the next couple of weeks. Everything points out to the film becoming a super-duper hit in the coming weeks. The moment Sun Pictures entered the fray and made it clear that ‘Mankatha’ would be released on 31st August, at least 2-3 films which were lined up for release on 2nd September have now been postponed by a fortnight to escape the ‘onslaught’ of Mankatha.

The films which now eye 16th, 23rd and 30th September as release dates are ‘Aayiram Vilakku’ starring Sathyaraj, Shanthanu and Sanaa Khan and directed by the newly wed Hosimin, debutant director Saravanan’s ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’ starring Jai, Sharvanand, Anjali and Ananya, ‘Murann’ starring (and co-produced by) Cheran and Prasanna and dircted by Rajan Madhav, ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ directed by Sargunam and ‘Vellour Maavattam’ starring Nandha and Poorna in the lead and directed by Manohar.

The Jiiva-Tapasee starrer ‘Vandhan Vendraan’ is likely to hit the screens on 16th September.

Mankatha turns 'Gambler' in Telugu

Ajith aka Thala's latest offering, 'Mankatha', has become a rage among the young and his fans are on a 'Mankatha' high, literally. Grapevine has it that Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the Telugu dubbing rights for the film and the dubbing work is taking place at a brisk pace, after which, the film will be released as 'Gambler'.

'Mankatha' is directed by Venkat Prabhu and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Accolades are being showered on Ajith for his performance as a baddie, and for his George Clooney look that has fetched him even more fans, we must say.

The film has a twist at almost every scene and keeps the audience glued to the screens to know who is on whose side and boasts off an ensemble of star cast including Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Premgi, Andrea, Mahat, Vaibhav and many others.

Ajith & Mankatha team to Tirupathi (for Mottai) on the day of Mankatha release

The countdown has started for the much awaited film of the year Mankatha. Finally the D-day has come closer and it is just 48hours left the release of the film. So, what is Thala’s schedule on the day of the release?

Thala Ajith along with his entire team will travel down to Tirupathi for Lord Balaji darshan on the day Mankatha hitting the screens (August 31st, 2011). It is known that the film’s release is important to the team and very particularly for Ajith as it marks the 50th film in his career.

The theatrical rights of Mankatha have been snapped by Radhika Sarath Kumar’s Radaan Media Works, who have sold out all areas in Tamilnadu at a fancy price. The film will see the light of the day in about 300+ screens in Tamilnadu.

The hype around the film is getting bigger and bigger as the days are getting closer. The film is going to strike gold at the box office with big Vinayak Chathurthi and Ramzan weekend.
