Prakash Raj Dhoni Movie First Look

Prakashraj’s home banner Duet Movies are coming out with another beautiful offering in Dhoni. The flick has wrapped up its last Hyderabad schedule and now entered the post production stage. Prakash who has scripted the plot and is also directing the film confirmed the news saying, “Ilayaraaja starts the background score of Dhoni, which is releasing this February.”

It’s the first time that veteran Ilayaraaja has been signed up under Prakash’s banner. Dhoni stars prominent Tollywood director/producer’s sonAakash in the lead role alongside lovely face Mugdha Godse. The movie revolves around the relationship between a father and his son .While the former wants his son to study hard and score good marks, his son aspires to become a great cricketer inspired by the Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The movie also has daddy controversial Prabhu Deva making a cameo appearance for his friend Prakash. Actors Radhika Apte, Nazar and Thalaivasal Vijay will be seen in key roles with the audio launch expected this month.

Prakash’s direction accompanied by Ilayaraaja’s music promises to deliver a fulfilling experience for fans.

Will 2012 be a busy phase for Ajith?

With Billa 2 being wrapped up, Ajith is now on the elated mood to enter into other sets. He has got two films on the confirmed list – one with Vishnuvardan produced by AM Rathinam and the other from Nagi Reddy group to be directed by the Siruthai Director Siva.

In the meantime there are indications that Ajith was approached by two prominent directors of Kollywood – KS Ravikumar and AL Vijay. Both have made meaty roles for Thala in his career span. KSR worked with Ajith for Villain and Varalaru( Godfather). AL Vijay worked with Ajith in Kreedam which produced many good reviews on Ajith. Between these two, Ajith is said to have expressed his preference for Vijay.

Hence this project may kick off once the director finished his work with Vikram for Thaandavam. Yet the official confirmation is not publicized from either side. If it happened, then 2012 will become a tight schedule for Thala, which means other producers and directors have to book him well advance.

Nanban comes with a clean chit of censor

Much contrary to speculations Shankar directed Nanban is all set to see the screens on January 12. Many circles predicted that the movie will hit the theatres on Pongal day but it seems themovie will be released a day advance than that of Vettai.

To meet the demands from the publicopinion, the movie is certified with U from the censor board. The triology of the three heroes – Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth – has come off well said some sources close to the unit.
The songs are already on fast pick up while expectations soar high on the Ilayathalapathy’s humor. It is also revealed that Madhan Karky, the lyricist and son of Vairamuthu has assisted Shankar in delivering the dialogues portion. Since the story revolves around the student affairs of an engineering college, Madan Karky the real college teacher has given some hints on the life style of engineering students.

For Vijay this movie is very crucial to take up the mantle recited from Velayutham. However for Shankar, Nanban will be totally new experience as he has not made any remake so far. More over he has not tried with three heroes at a time. Hence he might have taken more care to come out with doodles of good recipe. It is all a matter of ten days and Nanban will meet everyone of us through the screens.

STR- The most loved star of Kollywood

Silambarasan the smoking hot Chennai boy is used to making love with the camera since he was three years old.

The camera too loves him and the most eligible bachelorin Kollywood looks hot in his new video album Love Anthem for world peace.

The album directed by Vignesh Shiva and Nelson is an instant hit with over 10 lakh hits on Youtube. It was choreographed by Robert and camera was by Sakthi.

The self confessed wild child, STR as he likes to be called now, in an exclusive chat with US said: “I am very happy by the way people have accepted my song. I am off to US to record the song with two international pop stars most probably on Jan 10 in Los Angeles and I had said earlier the song is my message for world peace”.

On why people are compare Love Anthem with Kolaveri, pat comes the reply: “First and foremost my song is not a part or promotion of any film and I have not done it for publicity. It’s an independent song with a message that people should love each other”.

2011 has been wonderful for STR as his Vaanam was a hit. Remember that the actor had the guts to move away from KV Anand project Ko and did Vaanam, a film that he believed in. He then gave his best for Osthi a mass entertainer which banked heavily on the charisma of its protagonist and it was STR’s superlative performance that earned him accolades.

And in 2012, STR will complete Poda Podi, will resume Vettai Mannan and has Vetrimaran’s Vadachennai which will start rolling in June which has the industry pushing him a notch higher this year.

Anjali and Dhanush receives Best actors award

Dhanush and Anjali receivedBest actor Awards this New year. V4 Entertainment who honors the film industry each year with prestigious Best actor and actress awards has followed the same this year.

Shankar’s Nanban clashing with Lingusamy’s Vettai

This Sankrathi will be aseason of multi-starrer films. The fast-approaching festive season will be a stage for the battle of two bigmovies – Shankar’s Nanban and Lingusamy’s Vettai.

Shankar’s Nanban, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots, is releasing on January 12. The upcomingTamil movie stars Vijay, Ileana D’Cruz, Jeeva, and Srikanth in the leads. The big names in the cast-crew and the success of the audio have made the audience to wait for its release on their toes. Adding to that the movie is a youthful entertainer and this factor is expected to give the movie a good opening, believes trade pundits.

On the other end, Lingusamy’s Vettai too has big names. Madhavan, Aarya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul starrer movie is releasing on January 13. Maddy-Lingusamy, who delivered a blockbuster in the form of Run earlier, combo has generated curiosity among the audience. The music of the movie has also drawn the attention of the cine-goers.

On a whole, traders believe that Nanban has an edge over Vettai for very simple reason, Vijay-Shankar factor. Nonetheless, both the films are almost releasing in same number of theatres.

Aravaan wins Sahitya Akademi Award

Aravaan the epic film by director Vasanthabalan is ready for its release. Recently the Writer of Aravaan SU Venkatesan won the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award.

Kaaval Kootam is the original title of the Novel which was written by Su Venkatesan and later when it was planned to make a film out of it, Vasanthabalan gave the title Aravaan.

The director feels happy for Venkatesan who won award since it is considered as the most prestigious awards in Literary world. Aravaan

Trade circles say that Vasanthabalan would make it big through Aravaan. The film has Aadhi, Pasupathy, Dhansika, Archana Devi in the lead roles. The film is based on the first 10 pages of the novel Kaaval Kootam.

Vadivelu And Dhanush With Director Simbu Devan

Vadivelu may just make a re-entry with Dhanush’s film. The comedianwas last seen in the Prashanth starrer Mambattiyan but this filmstarted rolling before the 2011 state assemblypolls. After the poll results, Vadivelu had no chance to sign up new projects, it may be recalled.

The buzz now is that he may be signed up for a Dhanush starrer which is to be directed by Simbu Devan. The director gave a hit film Imsai Arasan 23aam Pulikesi in which Vadivelu not only played the lead role but also appeared in dual roles.

Looks like Simbu Devan might give Vadivelu the much needed break at this time of his career and Dhanush may give his assent.

Aamir Khan’s Talaash is most awaited 2012 film

Jan 2 (TruthDive): Aamir Khan's next most awaited release after '3 Idiots' is 'Talaash'. Trade experts reveal that Aamir Khan's Talaash will top the most-anticipated film list of the forthcoming Bollywood release of 2012.

Fifteen top trade and industry experts were asked to name the three films of 2012 they are awaiting the most.

Number 1 film was given three points, number 2 got two points and number 3 got one point. Then these points were added up.

Aamir Khan's Talaash led by six points making it the number one film of 2012, followed by Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger and Yash Chopra's next with Shah Rukh Khan.

Talaash                      : 26 points
Ek Tha Tiger                : 20 points
Yash Chopra's next     : 19 points
Dabangg 2                   : 13 points
Agneepath                  : 9 points
Bol Bachchan             : 2 points

Talaash is directed by Reema Katgi. It's the first film to release after IPL. Aamir Khan will be seen with his two of his favorite heroines, Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor.

Talaash marks Reema Kagti's second outing as a director. Backing her this time is the Dil Chahta Hai (2001) team — Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Aamir Khan.

Co-written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema, Talaash is being made within a budget of Rs 40 crore and its satellite rights have already been sold for Rs 40 crore, six months before the film's release.

The excitement among fans is no less — three fake posters are already doing the rounds online. The film is expected to release on June 1.

Salman Khan, whose film Ek Tha Tiger (ETT) is being directed by Kabir Khan, came second on the list. Salman acts with his former 'girlfriend' Katrina Kaif after five years. Incidentally, last year, his films Ready and Bodyguard (2011) raked in Rs 130 cr and Rs 150 cr respectively. ETT is slated to release on Eid, which has proved to be lucky for Salman for two years — Dabangg and Bodyguard.

Yash Chopra's untitled Diwali release with SRK stands third. Dabangg 2 at number four seems to be another crowd-pleaser in the making.

Karan Johar's Agneepath, which revisits the 1990-Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster, stands in fifth place. 

Hrithik Roshan plays the lead in this film directed by newbie Karan Malhotra. This is a Republic Day release.

Ajay Devgn's Singham was his first film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in 2011, and the actor teams up again with Rohit Shetty in Bol Bachchan, which releases on July 6 and is ranked number six.

Telugu Movie Poolarangadu Audio on January 6th 2012

Sunil and Isha Chawla will be seen together in 'Poolarangadu' and the movie is gearing up to enter the Sankranthi race.

The film will release on January 14th and the audio launch will take place on January 6th. Audio launch was slated for Jan 5th earlier, but it has been postponed by a day.

Poolarangadu has been directed by Veerabhadram and K.Atchi Reddy is the producer. This is the second film of Veerabhadram after his successful debut with 'Aha Na Pellanta'.

The movie is said to be an action entertainer and Sunil has already stunned everyone with a six pack body.

Siddharth (Siddu) Next Movie Titled as ‘Sukumarudu’

Youthful hero Siddharth is all set to start work in a new project that has been titled 'Sukumarudu'. The movie will go to sets soon. A reputed heroine has been approached to play the lead role opposite Siddharth.
