Sona withdraws case on SPB Charan by accepting written apology

The sordid high drama between Sona and SP Charan has come to an end on Tuesday night.

The actress has decided to withdraw all the cases against Charan, who has given a written apology!

Sona had earlier got a lot of media attention when she made a sensational disclosure that Charan tried to molest her at the Mankatha success party held at actor Vaibhav's house (In pic: Sona with good friends Venkat Prabhu & Premji).

Director Venkat Prabhu and his brother Premji tried their best to broker peace between Charan and Sona, but the actress was determined to get a public apology.

Meanwhile SP Charan got anticipatory bail, as Sona with the support of a woman organisation decided to picket his house. But powerful mutual friends worked overtime to thrash out an amicable settlement.

Sona later told the media : "I respect SPB sir a lot. The incident did hurt me and I had demanded a public apology, now to resolve the matter I agreed for a written apology from Charan, which was delivered to me on Tuesday evening. I'm withdrawing all the complaints and have decided to take a break by leaving the country."

Sona said, "The matter came to an end with the help of a mutual friend whose name I don't want to reveal." In a letter to a few newspapers, Sona said "The developments of the past few weeks have been unfortunate. SP Charan and I (Sona Heiden) have resolved our differences. Charan is and always has been a good friend. The issue between us was blown out of proportion. I wish him all the best for the future." "The incident hurt me a lot and I have decided to leave the country for a while. I want to take rest," Sona said. "Thanks for all the support rendered by the media in highlighting the issue," she added.

Sona gets warning from Police

Police have warned Sona against the agitation that she was planning to hold in front for actor-producer SPB Charan’s house in Chennai. While warning Sona that she cannot stage a protest without proper permission, the police have given word that they would summon SPB Charan and other film personalities who were at the party hosted by actor Vaibhav for investigation.

Based on the advice of the police, Sona and the women’s group that was acting in support of her decided to put off the agitation. There is strong expectation that SPB Charan and his buddies may make it to the police station soon. It is worth mentioning here that SPB Charan had obtained an anticipatory bail in the sexual assault case filed by Sona.

HC granted anticipatory bail for SPB Charan

SPB Charan has been granted interim anticipatory bail from the Madras Hight Court on Thursday in the sexual assault case filed by actress Sona Heiden. The producer apprehended the arrest after the item girl lodged a complaint under Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and IPC section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).

The Madras High court granted him bail for two weeks and has directed him to furnish a personal bond for Rs 10,000 with two sureties for like amounts. It has also ordered him to report daily until the next hearing. Meanwhile, reports say that SPB Charan and Sona Heiden are heading for a peace deal.

It is said that SP Balasubrahmanyam, who met Sona Heiden recently at a hospital, has requested her to take back the complaint. The item girl has soften her stand and has agreed to bury the hatchet but demanded a written apology from SPB Charan.

Last week, Sona Heiden came out in public by alleging that SPB Charan molested her at a private party, which was held at actor Vaibhav Reddy's residence.

SPB Charan files lawsuit against Sona

Tormented by Sona Heiden's allegations, SPB Charan has decided to file a lawsuit against the actress. After keeping mum on the issue for two days, the producer-singer has broken his silence and has said that he is gearing up for a legal battle.

SPB Charan, who refused to open up after the controversy broke out, claims that he will hold a press conference soon to clarify the issue. He says that he is in talks with his advocates and does not like to talk in public like Sona Heiden.

Meanwhile, Sona Heiden has been admitted to a hospital after she complained of severe chest pain. The actress is suffering from panic anxiety attacks. However, she is fine and her health is getting back to normal.

It was all started after Sona Heiden accused SPB Charan of sexually assaulting her at actor Vaibhav's house. She alleged that he molested her for which she demanded a public apology from him.

Close on the heels of Sona’s allegations that he misbehaved with her, producer and singer S P Charan has denied the allegations.

He said, ‘ I had attended the party and Sona was also present. Everything went normal. There were some business discussions. That’s all. Wonder how she could make such false charges. I am startled’.
Charan is a close associate of Venkat Prabhu and he had produced many films besides acting in few films’.

Producer and actress Sona has alleged that veteran playback singer SP Balasubramanyam’s son SP Charan has misbehaved with her. This took place in a party hosted to celebrate the success of Mankatha in Chennai. It was at Vaibhav’s house and Venkat Prabhu, Premji Amaran, Vaibhav and others were there at the party when this took place.

Sona has also filed a complaint with the police. She wants him to be arrested under "harassment of women". At least she wants him to come out in public and apologize.
