Why Kamal absent in 7aam Arivu audio launch?
Sources have said that Kamal Haasan missed his lovely daughter starrer audio launch function because of Vishwaroobham! Well, the legendary actor, who has grown a large beard for his character for his upcoming movie does not wanted to reveal his new look. The Dasavatharam star felt that his appearance would definitely give shutterbugs a reason to click and the curiosity among his getup would be lost.
Hence, Kamal Hassan sent an audio clipping wishing the entire team, which was played at 7aam Arivu function. However, it is said that the actor will be watching the forthcoming Tamil movie with his family before the release.
Surya and Shruti Hassan 7aam Arivu is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. It will light the screens for Diwali.
Dhanush - Shruti Haasan to sing duet for 3
Dhanush and Shruti Haasan starrer 3 is turning out to be a package of surprises for the audiences. Firstly, it's being directed by Aishwarys Dhanush and we have also heard that the lead pair Dhanush and Shruti will share a lip-lock in the film.
Now, the duo lent their vocals for a song in the film. Yes, Dhanush and Shruti Haasan together have sung for a duet in the film. The recording has been wrapped up on the last Saturday. It's been ages where the lead pair is crooning for a duet that is being canned on them. Apart from lending his voice, Dhanush has also penned the lyrics for the song.
The song is believed to be a medium-paced romantic number composed by a first-timer Anirudh. Meanwhle, the shooting schedules of the film are moving at rapid pace in and around Chennai.

The Diwali fever has set in and four biggies are gearing up to see light of day on the festival of lights, one of the films being Suriya starrer '7aum Arivu'. The film has Suriya, Shruti Haasan in lead roles with music by Harris Jayaraj whilst direction is by AR Murugadoss.
The first look that was unveiled had one of the characters played by Suriya which is that of a monk and his look as an aggressive monk in the posters was an instant hit among critics and fans. The movie starts of with Suriya in this look, and for these twenty minutes a huge sum has been shelved by the makers.
At a press conference that was held recently, Murugadoss expressed that it throws light on Bodhidharman a martial arts expert who is still worshiped in China. Huge sets have been erected to showcase the Shaolin Temple (for the construction of which he strived) and there's also a Chinese song in this part of film that goes 'Rise Of Damo...' with lyrics by Madhan Karky.

This avatar of Suriya is introduced to us through the song 'Oh Ringa Ringa...' that has been canned at live locations in busy streets of Chennai with over a 1000 dancers! A series of events lead to the duo unraveling past mysteries and taking a journey backwards in time, say sources in the know.
However one of the surprises in the film will be Suriya's look as an emperor where he shares screen space with Abhinaya of 'Nadodigal' fame. It is in this part of the film where Suriya uses a black stallion extensively, which was also auctioned away recently for a good price. The cast and crew are tight-lipped about this character played by Suriya.
'7aum Arivu's rights were sold for a whooping price in Kerala recently and expectations are raving high on this film, especially after the trailer screening during the audio launch. 7am Arivu Chinese song & Harris Jayaraj’s efforts
The music director said that though the Chinese instruments are being used in the Kuthu songs in Tamil films, it was a real challenge to find authentic 6th century instruments for this song in 7aum Arivu. He added that he was happy to have found such instruments and that was the reason for the song coming out well.

Addressing the media channels, A R Murugadoss and his entire crew didn’t miss to sing praises of Red Giant Movies Udhayanidhi Stalin for making it happen. ‘No one else would have burned candles at both ends for a newfangled project’ started off Murugadoss, who continued adding that it’s a shame and disgrace for the entire state of Tamil Nadu for having forgotten a hero – BODHIDHARMAN, who is worshipped as a God in China and Vietnam. He is the Guru of Shaolin Monks and spread Zen across the country. He is a medical scientist and Osho has authored a book on him for more than 300 pages. ‘I am sure that the film has already achieved 99% success and the result of 1% is awaited on Diwali’ added A R Murugadoss.

Review: 7aum Arivu music invokes a sense of deja vu
Director A R Murugadoss's 7aum Arivu (The Seventh Sense), produced by Red Giant Movies and starring Suriya, is possibly among the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year. With music composed by his favourite, Harris Jeyaraj, here's a listen at what this hit-duo has to offer:
In typical Harris fashion, Oh Ringa Ringa begins with a strong voice humming with tribal overtones, before switching over to rap. The song sounds overwhelmingly like the A R Rahman hit Taxi Taxi. The tribal feel carries on throughout with its steady beat as Roshan and Jerry John pitch in while Benny Dayal and Suchithra provide additional voices. Pa Vijay's lyrics are strictly functional. Other than the thumping beats, nothing seems to be going for this song.
Mun Andhi kicks off with a melodious whistle and a female voice humming. Karthik takes up the song with his usual fluidity to Na Muthukumar's romantic lyrics and Megha's accompaniment. A mildly pleasant number that reminds one of A R Rahman's early romantic compositions.
Vijay Prakash, Karthik, Shruthi Haasan (her western-music tinted voice intact) and Shalini join together in Yellae Lama, enthusiastically yelling at full-pitch at times with a brief flute interlude. This does grab your attention in the beginning, but then descends into mediocrity.
Yemma Yemma starts off on a sober note; this time, it's veteran SPB who picks up the vocals. Shades of Anjala from Vaaranam Aayiram peek through occasionally. The simplicity of the song, Kabilan's lyrics, and its pace are very appealing. Swetha Mohan hums through the interlude, and the soothing melody continues. A very appealing number.
Innum Enna Thozha appears to be the rousing "let's-win-the-world" song, rendered by Balram, while Naresh Iyer pitches in as well. Pa Vijay's lyrics are certainly inspiring enough but only towards the end does the emotion get through.
The Rise of Damo (Mandarin), sung by Hao Wang and penned by Karky, is so simple that it sounds almost like a nursery rhyme, and therein lies its appeal.
It looks like Harris Jeyaraj has run out of steam. While Yemma Yemma and The Rise of Damo are appealing, the rest sound like he remixed some of his own older numbers, or chose to be inspired by other classics. Perhaps the picturisation will add more appeal to the songs.
7aum Arivu's music does have its moments, but these are few and far between.

The moment you play the song, you might be surprised that it sounds similar to AR Rahman's famous song 'Taxi taxi...' from Sakkarakatti. The beats and the singing style are similar to the earlier number. However, the latest track is good. Suchitra starts it by voicing 'Lava lava lamma..' The drum beats and the Western style tune make it as a worthy soundtrack to hear. Mind you, it will a different appeal, when we see it with visuals.

Singer(s): Karthik, Megha
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar
One would not have expected a feel-good song to arrive soon after a heavy beats song. Well, Karthik, who is one of the bests crooner in romantic songs in Tamil, has done the magic again. With his soft vocal and Na. Muthukumar's wonderful lines, the song takes you for a romantic ride.

The song, comprising some of the big names, is a fast track. The song is rich in instruments and keeps the same momentum till the end. It is more of a beats than voice. This track also belongs to the list of songs, which could have a different look when seen on-screen.

Lyrics: Kabilan
SP Balasubramaniam comes behind the bike for the pathos song of the album. 'Yamma yamma..' lyrics penned by Kabilan will be hit among the guys, who have lost their love. The legendary singer has beautifully crooned in the slow track. The instruments, especially ghatam, used in the song makes you to give thumbs up for the song instantly.

An unexpected inspirational song arrives to change your mood. Pa. Vijay has proved his brilliancy with his words again. Balram's voice has perfectly fitted to the soundtrack and the chorus adds more energy to the track.

Lyrics: Madhan Karky
Here comes the song, which you have been eagerly waiting to listen - the Chinese number. Even though we cannot understand the lyrics, yet it impresses with the tune in its traditional Mandarin style of singing.
Verdict:
Harris Jayaraj compositional 7aam Arivu has variety of songs. The soundtracks will have larger appeal when it is watched. The Rise of Damo, Yamma Yamma and Mun Andhi are best songs of the film.

As expected, it turned out to be an evening of glitz and glamour. The who's who of the Tamil film industry including Surya, Shruti Hassan, Harris Jayaraj, AR Murugadoss, Dhayanidhi Alagiri, Karthi, Sivakumar, AL Vijay, Udhayanidhi Stalin Johnny Tri Nguyen and attended music launch of 7 Aum Arivu.
Isha Sharvani, Abhinaya, Rukmini Vijayakumar and many others added colours to the music launch function through their performances. Harris Jayaraj compositional audio has six songs for which Madhan Karky, Na Muthukumar P.Vijay and Kabilan have penned the lyrics.

Shruti Hassan sings for Mallika in Simbu's Osthi
The filmmakers have approached Shruti Hassan for taking her call sheet and the actress without any second thought has accepted the deal. Thaman music director of the film is going to use his recent tune from Telugu movie Mirapakaya. The composition of the song is going to start soon.
Mallika Sherawat has signed the item song for a whopping amount of Rs 1.25 crore and this is said to be the highest ever paid actress for an item song in Tamil cinema.

7am Arivu: Suriya pairs with Abhinaya too
The director of the film AR Murugadoss has instructed the team not to reveal this secret until the film releases but somehow it has been revealed through some media sources.
Though Abhinaya’s role appears in the flashback but she has enough weightage in the film. The flashback is said that the flashback in the film forms the crux of the story. If all goes well 7am Arivu will be a landmark film Abhinaya’s career.
The audio launch of the film is set to take place on September 22nd in Chennai while the film is slated for Diwali release.
7am Arivu Suriya as Bodhidharma a Pallava King
Surya will be seen in the role of the person, who transmitted the Zen to the world. He has done the character of Bodhidharma, who was the Pallava king before turning a patriarch. The movie shows the connection between Kanchipuram to China. A super machine, which has a major role to play in the film, will reveals this and tells about the Tamil culture and its spread.
The Ghajini star is playing dual role in the forthcoming movie. The other character if of a circus artist. Shruti Hassan is playing alongside him and she will be seen in the role of a scientist. However, the audio of 7 Aum Arivu will hit the stands on August 22.
7th sense (7am Arivu) Telugu logo launched
Ace director A.R. Murugadoss' much awaited 7aam Arivu, which has Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles, will be released in Telugu as 7th Sense. The logo of 7th Sense was launched in Hyderabad recently. Suriya, Shruti Haasan, Murugadoss, Sunil, Boyapati Sreenu, Sukumar, Mehar Ramesh and Bellamkonda Suresh graced the occasion.
The film is likely to grace theatres on October 28, 2011 (Diwali weekend). The director is currently busy with the post production works and the music launch will take place in Chennai on September 22, 2011. The story is said to revolve around a time machine which is brought to India by a scientist. 7aam Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a triple role: a circus artist, a Buddhist monk and a scientist. Vietnamese stunt actor Johnny Tri Nguyen will play the baddie.
The film is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 84 crores and interestingly, this is the highest budget film in Suriya's career till date. The technical team includes Harris Jayaraj (music), Ravi K. Chandran (cinematography) and Anthony Gonsalves (editing).
Surya is all praises for Shruti Haasan
The first look of 7th Sense was recently launched in Hyderabad and it looks terrific. Surya is going to play a dual role – a circus artists and as a Buddhist Monk. Surya has done several stunts as the circus artist all by himself and he’s excited about the film. Murugadoss revealed that they have spent a bomb for the introduction and the climax of the film and it’ll definitely be a visual delight. The film is going to hit the screens in last week of October.
Aamir Khan Eyes Suriya’s 7am Arivu!
Suriya’s ‘7aam Arivu’ is almost over and getting released on this Diwali. Suriya plays three characters in the film – a circus aritist, a scientist and a Buddhist monk. The tricks and actions of the circus artist’s role are done by Suriya himself by taking big risks and hardships.
The actor has also done dangerous stunts on his own. It is said that the A R Murugadoss directed film has many new things in film to offer. Shruti Hassan is playing the female lead and a Vietnamese stunt actor is playing the villain.
Industry is expecting another historic hit from Suriya – A R Murugadoss combo, the magic what they did with their earlier outing ‘Ghajini’. And, one man from Bollywood is very keen and awaiting the release of the film and he is none other than Aamir Khan, who reprised Suriya in the Hindi remake of ‘Ghajini’ that became a super duper hit in his career.
