Get ready for Airtel Super Singer 3 Finale!

Get ready for Airtel Super Singer Junior 3

 

With Airtel Super Singer 3 almost nearing the finals, the promotional videos for the next season of Airtel Super Singer Junior 3 has been started by Vijay TV. Undoubtedly Vijay TV's Airtel Super Singer has been the most popular reality show in tamil television channels. But, the question here is are we really ready for the Super Singer Junior 3. Overwhelmingly most of us would tell Yes for this question and its fun to watch Junior Super Singer show.

Extended over extension..

Usually Super Singer in Star Vijay TV has been extended over and over again. These days each season go for a whole year and ofcourse its interesting in most part of it. We knew that there was a rumour that Chinmayi didnt continue hosting the Airtel Super Singer show since it has been extended over the actual contract. But, I think the show has matured enough to run several seasons from now. I dont see any reason for the show to come to an end. In the last two years the Airtel Super Singer grand finale has been airted live in Vijay TV which is a real good news and they have done that well.

Super Prizes

Super Singer's popularity has made Vijay TV to give away super duper prizes which range from LCD TV to Gold bracelet to Car and to house. Now, the prize for the Super Singer 3 is villa which is valued at 40 lac INR. I think in next few seasons they will start giving prize in the range of crores. Last season with the seniors had the opportunity to sing in Yuvan Shankar Raja's composition and Ajeesh got that chance along with Car as gift. Then, the last season of Super Singer Junior had the prize of house in Pondichery worth 15 lacs and it was given to both Alka Ajith and Srikanth. In the current season, there were similar prizes in the preliminary rounds with top 40 contestants which ranged in all categories.

Are you ready ?

All these said, are we ready for the Super Singer Junior 3. Ofcourse YES for most part of it in the entertainment but I am not sure how much the kids will get affected since the shows are usually made late in the night and goes for a whole year. I am happy to see the last season juniors Nithyashree, Alka Ajith, Shree Nisha and Priyanka already sang in movies but still our environment gives first importance to education. Also, we remember that these kids after their last season of Airtel Super Singer, they also got into Junior Superstars, another singing competition between the south Indian junior singers.

Voting started for Super Singer 3 - Wild Cards

The finals of the glamorous Airtel Super Singer 3 is around the corner. The hunt for the super singer worldwide is almost near the end with Pooja and Sathyaprakash already ready for the grand finale. Now, the rest of the contestants will be selected from the wild card round and you have a chance to choose the finalists (Really ??? ;)) I am not sure how many spots would be there, my guess is 2, lets see.

Judges have now shortlisted eight contestants for the wild card round who can be selected for the finals. It would have been nice if they had already selected Sai charan in the finals and kept a competition for rest of them for the final spot.

Arasu Cable TV starts its journey from Sep 2 in Chennai

 

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today announced in the State Assembly that the Arasu Cable TV Corporation would be launched on September two.

Making a suo motu statement, the Chief Minister said to begin with, the Corporation would make available to customers, 90 free channels at a monthly subscription of Rs 70. The decision to launch Arasu Cable Tv corporation marked the fulfillment of AIADMK election promise and would break the monoply in Cable TV sector, she said.

After the government decided to revive Arasu Cable Tv Corporation, about 34,344 cable operators in the State and MSOs, who had 1.45 crore connections throughout the state, joined the corporation with much enthusiasm, she said. The government would collect from these operators, Rs 20 per connection per month and the launch of Arasu Cable tv would help the public to save from Rs 70 to Rs 100 a month, Ms Jayalalithaa said. Barring Chennai, the service would be available to people in all parts of the State, she said adding the government would take steps to include pay channels also in the bouquet of channels.

Ms Jayalalithaa said the operations would be started from the existing four Heads Ends at Thanjavur, Coimbatore, Vellore and Tirunelveli and beam Arasu Cable TV signals to operators located around the radius. The government would take private Head End facilities in the remaining 27 districts on lease to expand operations across the state, she added.

She said the previous DMK regime had launched the Arasu Cable Tv Corporation in 2007 and offered more than 50,000 connections. However, due to the selfish attitude of the previous government, the number of connections came down and as on March 31, the connections shrunk to 432. Thus, the Corporation became defunct during the DMK Regime itself, she said.

In an apparent move to end the monopoly of the Marans-owned multi-crore cable TV business, state-run Arasu Cable TV corporation will start functioning from September 2.

A total of 90 channels, including pay channels would be available on this platform for a monthly fee of Rs 70, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa told the Assembly today.

Slamming the previous DMK government which started the service in the wake of split in the DMK first family involving the Marans, she said the same government which launched the service was also instrumental in it going dormant (after DMK chief M Karunanidhi and Marans patched up).

"The corporation provided 50,000 cable connections when it was started in 2007 but due to selfishness of rulers,it shrunk to 432 as on March 31, 2011,"she said in a suo moto statement.

After assuming power all efforts were taken to restructure the corporation,she said referring to appointing of a Chairman and a Managing Director as part of this.

Infrastructure like digital heads were also restructured she said, adding over 34,000 Multi-System Operators (MSO) and cable operators who possess 1.45 crore connections have joined it which will cover areas other than Chennai.

"Efforts have been taken to broadcast 90 channels through Arasu cable TV and Free To Air (FTA) channels to start with. Pay channels will be added later," she said.

While consumers will be charged Rs 70 per month, operators will have to pay Rs 20 per connection she said, adding her government's latest initiative would ensure delivery of cable services at nominal rates.

Sun TV bags 7am Arivu, Audio launch in Singapore

AR Murugadoss -Suriya -Shruti Haasan offering '7am Arivu' is at its post-roduction stage and will see a Diwali release. Grapevine now has it that Sun TV has bagged the satellite rights of this film for a whooping price!

Speaking on this front Udhaynidhi Stalin expressed, "am Arivu will be a Red Giant release for this Diwali, on October 26! The satellite rights have been sold to Sun TV" Further speaking on the progress of his future project 'OKOK' with Rajesh, he said that the dubbing work on the laugh-iot will begin tomorrow.

'7am Arivu' has Suriya Sivakumar don three roles, that of a monk, a circus artist and a scientist while Shruti Haasan plays a scientist. The film is a sci-fi thriller which will also highlight upon Tamil traditions, say sources.

Not just that, the music of the film is touted to release on September 10 at Singapore and Sun TV will be providing live coverage of the audio launch!
