Velayudham budget reached 45 crores

Vijay's upcoming movie Velayudham under the direction of Jayam Raja surrently progressing in its post production works. Velayudham's audio launch to be in the first week of August.

Now here the latest update of Velayudham movie is that the film has over budgeted than the estimated cost of making the film. The filmmaker Aascar Ravi Chandran has earlier planned to make Vijay's Velayudham movie with the budget of 35 crores but as of now it has reached to 45 crores.Director of the film and Velayudham unit are working day and night and a lot of amount is being spent on graphics and more on patch works of the film.

Lets wait and seen whether Velayudham turns a paisa vasool film by reaching the theatres or Not !.

Lure of the Wicked, cackle this!

Lure of the Wicked by author Karina Cooper is the second novel in her Dark Mission series. While this book was not as punchy as book one, Blood of the Wicked, I really enjoyed the character development in her futuristic series of butt-kicking witches.

Plot:

Naomi West was plucked from one prison and placed undercover in another: the gilded cage that is Timeless, New Seattle's premier spa and resort, where owner Phineas Clarke—the most seductive man Naomi has ever met—may be hiding a killer. She's an agent of the Holy Order, trained to hunt the guilty and render justice. But while she's tracking down a rogue agent on a killing spree, Phin is determined to uncover her most damning—and dangerous—secrets. Whatever the cost.

I'm going to strongly recommend that if you have yet to read this series make sure to grab the first book before moving on to this one. So much happens in book one that in order for you to really get who Naomi is you will need to see where it all starts. The series continues to grow and develop in Lure of the Wicked with the latest book adding a new layer to the feast Karina is creating with her words. Naomi is a witch-hunter tuff chick with a big emotional hole in her heart because she was abandoned and left to fend for herself as a young girl. I really did feel for her character. I would have liked to see a little more of a change in her by the end of the story, because she seems to keep herself locked away from the people around her. Emotionally unavailable much? Still I like her, one ballsy lady who wont take any crap from those around her.

Phineas character was a little harder for me to get into, he didn't really seem like a good match for Naomi. She's more street thug while he is definitely high brow silver spoon fancy pants. He does have his moments of tuff guy but those were a bit too few and far between. Fashion and high end cars are what Phineas is all about while Naomi's is out kicking witch butt and shooting at crap. By the end I did feel that it kinda works between them but not who I would have seen her with. I did like that you don't get a "happily ever after" ending because that would have NEVER worked with these two. What you get is a sorta, and that's already spilling too much about this story. ;) The best part about these two is the sex! Good undead lordy I had to fan myself several times throughout the book; if nothing else they should just not talk and hump all day long. lol

Overall the book was well-written packed with action in vivid detail, the growing of things to come is what has me most excited. I'm still holding out for a Jonas book to make its way down the pipes, and to get a little more info on where the heck Silas went during all those years he left the mission in Seattle. I have high expectations from this author because she is THAT good, so if my rating seems harsh please don't hex me with a spell. lol Lots more to come in this series and I for one can't wait!

Aishwarya Rai Requests The French Honour To Be Postponed

Beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai, who was to receive an honour from the French government in New Delhi on Wednesday, requested officials to postpone the ceremony in the wake of the Mumbai blasts. The actress also maintained a minute's silence to mourn the deaths.
"Thank you all for being here. The current situation has really disturbed and shocked all of us. I thank the French embassy for being supportive and considering the sensitivity of the situation. They have been kind to consider me and my family's request to postpone the celebration till another time. We as Indians can't go ahead and celebrate in such a situation," Aishwarya told reporters at the event.
Mumbai was hit by three blasts that left at least 20 people dead and over 100 injured on Wednesday evening.
The event for honouring Aishwarya with "Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters" was being held in New Delhi, but her heart was with those affected by the tragedy.
"The terrible blasts have shook us, but we shall stand strong. They (terrorists) should get it straight that we won't let them succeed. You cannot break us, we all believe in deep strong Indian spirit. You will not get the better of us. God bless us and Jai Hind," added Aishwarya, who was accompanied by her actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan.
The 37-year-old's appearance was highly anticipated as it was her second public outing ever since the announcement of her pregnancy. She did not disappoint by being away from shutterbugs, and looked extremely graceful in a yellow and parrot green sari, with the natural glow of an expectant mother.
French Ambassdor Jerome Bonnafont said: "The terrible series of blast has shocked all of us. It seems the time is not right. I pay my condolence and want the Indian people to know that the government of France is with them."

Here is a buzz of Suriya's 7aam Arivu is that Vilakaathe Nilakaathe Nilaikkathe song has been leaked on the net on July 6th. Many of Suriya fans are hearing to the song.The search for the song is on high in google today.

Jiiva's Vandhan Vendran Audio Release ?

Ace directors Mani Ratnam, Shankar and Bala will launch the music of Jiiva-Tapasee's romantic-action flick Vandhan Vendran in Chennai on May 21, 2011. The film is directed by Kannan, an associate of Mani Ratnam. Thaman is the music director. Director Kannan is confident that Vandhan Vendran will be a winner.

Jiiva plays the role of a struggling boxer who fights hard to achieve his goal. The actor has undergone some rigorous training for this film. Tapasee plays an architect. The team recently completed a 23-day schedule in the forests at Kerala-Karnataka border.

Vandhan Vendran takes place in Mumbai, but is also shot in Chennai and Kerala. An important flashback scene has also been shot in Podinayakanur (Madurai). The film is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures of Boss Engira Baskaran fame.

Gossips – Zareen says no to bikini

Actress Zareen Khan, who was last seen shaking a leg with Salman Khan for 'Character Dheela Hai' from 'Ready' has rubbished reports of she sporting a bikini for Sajid Khan's Housefull 2, a sequel to Housefull.

This comes after many Bollywood actresses are trying to sport the two-piece but Zareen insists that, "first of all there is no such scene in Housefull 2 and add to that her body isn't suited for bikini".

Her role in Housefull 2 requires her to be ultra-glam. So the actress did hit the gym and turned fitter to be on par with other leading ladies of the film, Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez.

She is playing a fun-filled character and is paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh in the film. Housefull 2 has recently completed its first schedule in London and will be moving for a second outing in October.

Mind you the film will be clashing with Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' next year on June 1, 2012. Isn't it amazing considering both Zareen and Sajid Nadiadwala are close to the Dabangg Khan.

Naga Chaitanya’s Dhada audio on 24th July

The audio of Naga Chaitanya's forthcoming film Dhada is slated for a launch on 24th July. Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead, while Aruna Sheilds will sizzle in a special number. Dhada introduces Ajay Bhuyan to Tollywood as director.

Dhada is produced by Sivaprasad Reddy under the banner Kamakshi Enterprises. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for the film. Naga Chaitanya will be seen in a mass role in Dhada. Major part of the film was shot in US.

Other prominent cast of Dhada includes Rahul Dev, Mukesh Rishi, Kelly Dorge, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam and Ali. Dhada will hit the big screens on 25th August.

Vettai trailer gets terrific response!

It looks like UTV is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to promotional activities. Their promotion techniques and strategies they follow will sure make a film strike gold at the box office. The latest is Deiva Thirumagal which has seen promotions at every nook and corner of the state.

UTV not limiting to Deiva Thirumagal has started the promotions with the first look trailer of their forthcoming ventures Muran, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and Vettai along with Deiva Thirumagal. The theaters which are screening Deiva Thirumagal has witness the loudest claps for Vettai trailer which is outstanding and racy. The highlight of Vettai trailer is the shutter scene which was seen in Lingu and Maddy's earlier film Run.

The duo has modified that scene which can be seen in the Vettai trailer.

The reworked scene goes this way: Madhavan who plays a cop in the film will be chased by a mafia gang in Tuthukudi and enters a godown with the villains pulling down the shutter. Madhavan looks at the audience and says with a smirk on his face- "Enakkey shutter moodaringla ?"

The audiences enjoyed watching the trailer as the trailer and the punch line were appealing.

G.One to do a Batman

King Khan as promised is leaving no stones unturned to make Ra.One as big as he can. After Anubhav Sinha recently canned a schedule in Hyderabad, Ra.One is going to have its final leg of shooting starting from today [Saturday].

And as a part of a rescue act in the film, G.One [King Khan's character in the film] will shoot for an episode on a bike that will be on the lines of what Batman used for Dark Knight.

While every other super hero have their abilities to do acts which are not possible by humans, G.One in Ra.One has decided to borrow Batman's bike for the scene, which will be filmed at the end of next week at Filmistan Studios, Goregaon, Mumbai.

The bike has been designed specially for Ra.One and King Khan will be performing dare devil and adrenaline pumping action sequences himself with out using a body-double.

The actor is scheduled to rehearse from today and only after a week practice, he will be performing the concerned sequence. Anaita Shroff Adajania is preparing SRK's outfit for the action episode.

Anushka talks about Vijay, Suriya and Vikram!

Though she shines like a star on Kollywood silver screen but the actress got lot of fanfare in Tamil for her outstanding performance and glamour.

She is none other than gorgeous Anushka who is currently waiting for the release of her next outing Deiva Thirumagal. The actress has shared the screen space with most of the top league stars in Tamil including Vijay, Suriya and Vikram. With Vijay she has done Vettaikaran, Suriya in Singam and Vikram in Deiva Thirumagal. After working all of them the actress shares something about each of them and also confesses that all these actors are unique in their own way.

Vijay is a great co star to work with but his immense potential is not been tapped yet. Anushka says that Suriya is a great dad, loving husband and an obedient son. Vikram is a fantastic co star to work with as he lives his role when the camera starts rolling.

The actress is currently busy with Telugu films and very soon she is going to share the screen space with Karthi which is to be directed by Suraj,

Rowthiram to release on August 12?

Rowthiram which stars Jeeva and Shriya Saran in the lead roles will have a grand audio launch some time next week in Chennai.

According to the latest reports it is known that the film is likely to make the silver screen presence during the Independence Day weekend August 12, 2011. The film deals with patriotism and social welfare activities as the film's lead star Jeeva plays the role of youngster who questions the system while Shriya will be seen in the role of a lawyer and also plays as his supportive lover. So this similarity made the filmmakers to think of the release during the Independence Day weekend.

Rowthiram is written and directed by debutant Gokul. R. B. Choudary is producing the film under the banner of Super Good films. Music is scored by debutant Prakash Nikki for this action and comedy entertainer.
