Priya Anand wraps up Ko Ante Koti's first schedule

Priya Anand has wrapped up her part of shooting for Sharwanand's upcoming film titled Ko Ante Koti. The film is currently being shot in Rajahmundry. Anish Kuruvilla is directing the film and Sharwanand is producing the film. Some key scenes were shot on Priya Anand and Sharwanand in this schedule. Talking about her experience, Priya Anand tweeted, "Gooooooddddd Moooorrrnniinggg Tweeple!! I cant believe we are almost at the end of the 1st schedule for #KoAnteKoti Will miss ALL involved!" Recently, almost the entire crew was struck by viral fever and the film's lead cast barely managed to survive the scare, thanks to a timely intervention by the doctors. Now that she has returned to Chennai, she's eagerly looking forward to the promotional campaign for her upcoming film English Vinglish, in which she has played an important role. The film starring Sridevi is going to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in mid September and it'll hit the screens in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on September 21.

Collections have gained new momentum today as many Muslims thronged to the theaters to catch Salman Khan's film after breaking their holy fast. Collections are expected to remain strong this week and analysts are trying to predict what the final collection figure might look like. Salman has broken the 100 Crore ceiling three times in the past and his highest grosser so far is 'Bodyguard' with net collections of Rs 148Crore. Analysts expect 'Ek tha Tiger' to cross that figure.

Power star Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu will be shot in Old City, Hyderabad, where few key scenes along with action sequences are being canned in the current schedule of shoot.

Except for a couple of songs, the shooting of CMGR has almost been wrapped up as per the sources buzz. Puri Jagannadh is directing the film with Tamanna playing the female lead and Prakash Raj, Nazar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ali playing the prominent roles. Scarlet Wilson is sizzling for a pub song, tuned by Mani Sharma, the music director of the film.

DVV Danayya is producing the movie on the banner of Universal Media. Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu music will be launched in September and the film will hit the screens in October.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun and dashing director Puri Jagannadh combination film Desamuduru has scored a hit and now the duo set to team up for a film titled Iddarammayilatho to be produced by Ganesh Babu on Parameswara Art Productions banner.

Allu Arjun has reportedly asked the makers to rope in the energetic musical composer Devi Sri Prasad for the film. Bunny and DSP have given many musical entertainers and with the latest outing Julayi turning out to be a blockbuster, the Stylish Star seems to be feeling lucky and sentiment to have Devi Sri Prasad on board.

Puri Jagannadh informed that Allu Arjun is excited to do the film after listening to the story. This romantic entertainer will commence shooting from September 20.

Shruti Haasan is all set to stun the audience in her upcoming Hindi film which is being directed by Prabhu Deva. Since her debut film in Telugu, Anaganaga O Dheerudu, she has played various roles which showcased only her acting skills. In fact, even in Gabbar Singh, it was her performance and glamour which fetched her a lot of appreciation and in Aishwaraya Dhanush's 3, she shocked the audience with her performance. Now, for the first time ever in her career, she's going to showcase her dancing skills in Prabhu Deva's film. The film's rehearsals began late last month and for the past few days, the principal cast of the film has been rehearsing for a song.

Prabhu Deva is personally supervising the dance choreography of this song and Shruti Haasan is putting her best efforts possible to impress everyone. "1st day of Tips film shoot.. Started with a Dance no..so many artists and dancers are here, its more like a celebration than work," Prabhu Deva tweeted couple of days ago and today, he praised his team saying, "Even though its a rainy Sunday my actors @girishkumart and @shrutihaasan and the entire crew are working very hard." Looks like after impressing the audience with her singing and acting, Shruti Haasan has decided to add another feather in her cap.

The film is a remake of Nuvvu Vasthanante Nenu Vadhantana and Shruti Haasan is paired up with newcomer Girish Taurani. Kumar Taurani is producing the film under Tips Films banner.

Prabhas Rebel doing good pre-release business

Young Rebel Star Prabhas starrer Rebel with Tamanna and Deeksha Seth as the leading ladies in the direction of Raghava Lawrence is doing a good pre-release business. With his last two films Darling and Mr.Perfect turning out to be money-spinners, the distributors are showing good interest to bag the rights of Rebel.

Dil Raju has bought the rights of Rebel for the Nizam area for a whopping 9 Crores. Rebel is made lavishly with a high budget of over 35 Crores which is highest till date in Prabhas career. The satellite rights of the film have already been sold for 5.5 crores and Rebel is also making good pre-release business in other areas. Actor Santhanam is lucky for Vishakha!

Actress Vishakha, who is playing the lead in Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, starring Santhanam and Power Star Srinivasan, has already signed two films, one in Malayalam and Hindi each. And she says that the deal came through while she was working with Santhanam.

She says, “I must tell Santhanam how lucky he is lucky for me, because I signed Motorcycle Diaries in Mollywood and a Vikram Bhatt film in Bollywood while working with him.”

She continues, “I got a call from Vikram Bhatt’s office for a meeting, but I was shooting for my Tamil film in Kumbakonam. And the next day, Bhattji sent me the script and asked me to go through it. I was roped in for his medical thriller without even meeting him!”

Vishakha, who plays a medical intern in the Hindi film, will start shooting for it from next month. “Thankfully, I would have wrapped up the second schedule of the Santhanam film in Chennai by then,” she smiles.

"Rahman has crooned the number 'Vizhithidu Nenje...' and it has come very good. The maestro's voice has done the much needed magic to the song," say sources in the know.

They add: "The number was recently shot on the lead pair- Dhanush and Parvathy- and the visuals were extraordinary. Rahman's composition and the way the song has been canned will make it stand out from the list."

Atharva, Amala Paul starrer Nirantharam Nee Ohale is going to release on August 24. Elred Kumar has directed the film. He had earlier produced Rangam on RS Infotainment banner. The film is being touted as a thriller and it was shot in some exotic locales in US like Las Vegas. GV Prakash has scored the film. The film is a dubbed version of Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal, the Tamil film which did quite well at box office earlier this year. Meanwhile, Amala Paul will soon be seen in Samuthirakani's Jenda Pai Kapiraju and V V Vinayak's Naayak.
