Phone Booth (2002 film)

Phone Booth (2002 film)-Tamil dubbed

Story Line:
Stu Shepard (Colin Farrell) is an arrogant publicist who is contemplating cheating on his wife Kelly (Radha Mitchell). After work, he calls Pam (Katie Holmes), a young actress, from a phone booth. When a chicken man (Dell Yount) tries to deliver a pizza to the booth, Stu rudely dismisses him. After the phone call with Pam, the phone rings and Stu answers it.
The caller (voice of Kiefer Sutherland), is a man who says that he should have accepted the pizza as it would have "kept his strength up for what comes next". The caller warns Stu not to leave the booth. The man doesn't tell Stu his identity, only that he loves to watch him. Stu, again dismissive, is skeptical toward the mystery caller, thinking it is a prank, and tells him he is going to hang up. The caller says that he'll say hi to Kelly for him, then hangs up, leaving Stu visibly concerned. The man soon calls back to tell Stu that he must tell Kelly and Pam the truth: that he's cheating. The man calls Pam, puts Stu on speakerphone, and tells her that Stu is married and doesn't want anything with Pam except to sleep with her. He then tells Stu to call his wife and tell her the truth, or else he will. Angrily, Stu does so. Before he has a chance to tell Kelly the truth, Stu is distracted by two prostitutes who want to use the phone. The prostitutes become hostile due to Stu's refusal to leave the booth, and they start banging against the glass. Stu becomes agitated and finally hangs up on his wife and yells at the prostitutes to leave him alone. As the two girls leave, the man calls and warns Stu that if he hangs up again, he will shoot him. Stu doesn't believe him but is convinced when the man cocks his rifle. Stu gets scared, warning him that if he shoots, the cops will arrive. However, the sniper proves him to be wrong by shooting a toy robot next to the booth without anyone noticing due to a silencer. The caller continues to mock Stu's faith that the caller isn't capable.
The situation escalates further when the prostitutes and their pimp, Leon, approach the booth and demand that Stu leave. Terrified that he will be shot, Stu refuses. The impasse between Stu and Leon escalates to the point of Leon breaking into the booth with a bat and attacking Stu. The sniper tells Stu he can help him and Stu says "yes". Leon is shot in the back by the sniper and the horrified prostitutes call the police, accusing Stu. The police arrive and Stu is instantly the suspect. He doubts that they will find any evidence to suggest his guilt to the murder, but later finds out the sniper has planted a gun in the phone booth that could be used to show he is hostile. Captain Ed Ramey (Forest Whitaker) tries to negotiate with Stu to exit the booth but he says he cannot get off the call and he is talking to his "psychiatrist". Multiple news vans arrive, and reporters begin filming the situation, putting pressure on the police to deal with the situation without appearing trigger-happy. The caller continues to bait Stu by telling him to take hold of the planted gun, but Stu refuses, knowing the police will likely shoot him.
Kelly arrives at the scene and the sniper makes Stu confess to her about his infidelity, which Stu does. The man asks Stu to choose between Pam and Kelly, threatening to kill one of them to eliminate further temptation. The caller tells Stu that there are men trying to tap into the call, but will never succeed as the caller has taken precautions to avoid it. Stu pleads with the sniper while at the same time using his cell phone to call Kelly, who secretly informs Captain Ramey of the sniper's presence when Ramey hears the conversation. Stu confesses his bad character to the crowd, telling his unpaid assistant, Adam (Keith Nobbs), who looks up to Stu, not to become a publicist and admitting his $2,000 watch is a fake, like himself. Stu explains he grew up in the Bronx and he wanted to put his past behind him by buying expensive clothes. He is also not as rich as he seems.

The police finally track down the sniper by tracing the call the sniper made to Kelly, and Ramey tells Stu through a cryptic message that they have done so. Stu foolishly informs the sniper that the cops are coming to get him and the now enraged sniper chooses to take Kelly with him, seeing as she is the most important thing in his life. Panicked, Stu takes the planted gun, runs out of the booth and yells, "it's me you want!" Stu is shot and falls down just as police break into a hotel room, discovering a dead body, a phone, and a sniper rifle. It is then revealed that Stu had been hit by a rubber bullet from a police sniper, leaving him relatively unharmed. Kelly runs over and kisses Stu who's still on the ground. The police wheel the body they found in the hotel room down onto the street, and Kelly insists on seeing the sniper's body. Stu identifies the body as the pizza delivery man who had earlier tried to give him a free pizza.
As the film draws to a close, Stu is recovering under morphine in an ambulance, this makes him drowsy then a man carrying a large case walks up to him, and compliments his shoes. The man says that he regrets killing the pizza deliverer and warns Stu that if his newfound honesty does not last, he will be hearing from him again. He walks away and smiles as he passes the phone booth, revealing himself to be the caller. Stu falls unconsious. The caller, now the narrator, says, "Isn't it funny? You hear a phone ring, and it could be anybody...but a ringing phone has to be answered, doesn't it?" The phone booth rings once again, and the film ends with a man answering, "Hello?"

Mission: Impossible II (2000 film)

Mission: Impossible II (2000 film)-Tamil dubbed

Story Line:
In Sydney, Australia at the laboratories of the company, Biocyte Pharmaceuticals, a Russian scientist, Dr. Vladimir Nekhorvich (Rade Serbedzija) creates a virus called Chimera along with the cure, known as Bellerophon. Nekhorvich calls upon Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) to accompany him on a flight to Atlanta, Georgia, with IMF presuming he means to deliver Chimera into safe hands. Whilst flying over the Rocky Mountains, an announcement is made by the captain (Hugh Stamp played by Richard Roxburgh) that there has been a drop in cabin pressure. As a precaution, he releases the oxygen masks. Ethan gets up to find out what is going on; meanwhile, when Ethan returns, he kills Nekhorvich by breaking his neck and reveals himself to be IMF agent Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott) wearing a face mask. Ambrose and his team steal Nekorvich's suitcase (with sample vials inside) and parachute to safety just as the plane crashes into a mountain, killing everyone on board.
In Utah, the real Ethan Hunt is free climbing whilst on vacation. When he reaches the top, he is given a message from IMF that he has to recover the stolen vials. He may choose two team members out of the three on his team, but the third must be Nyah Nordoff-Hall (Thandie Newton), a professional thief.
Ethan travels to Seville, Spain to find Nyah and they match wits over the theft of a diamond necklace from a club. When Nyah finds out Ethan's identity as a spy, she scoffs at his attempt to recruit her. But she changes her mind after he saves her life in a high speed car chase and they become romantically involved.
That evening Ethan meets commander Swanbeck (Anthony Hopkins) at the IMF HQ in Seville. Swanbeck informs Ethan that Nekhorvich is dead and suggests that Nyah be used to gain information from Ambrose about his plans because he had been wanting Nyah back ever since she left him six months ago.
Ethan and Nyah travel to Sydney where Ethan meets with Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames), his partner from the first film, and Billy Baird (John Polson), establishing their base on a sheep farm outside the city. Nyah meanwhile arrives at Sean's compound to begin retrieving information (not before sleeping with Sean).
Hugh Stamp questions Sean about her as he is suspicious she may be a Trojan horse sent by IMF. Sean cuts off the tip of Hugh's finger for questioning him about her. Later at a horse racing event, Ethan and his team are watching Sean and Nyah. Sean leaves Nyah to go and speak to John C. McCloy (Brendan Gleeson), the head of Biocyte and Nekhorvich's boss. Sean shows McCloy a video on a digital camera in the bar. When Sean returns to Nyah, she manages to get the camera's memory card from Sean's left jacket pocket and then goes to find the video turns out to be footage of the effects Chimera had on Doctor Sergei Gradski, one of Nekorvich's colleagues, who was deliberately infected to test Chimera; the virus causes mass destruction of red blood cells-after a person has been infected with Chimera for 20 hours, nothing can save them, not even Bellerophon.
That evening Ethan and his team kidnap John C. McCloy (when Billy poses as a replacement to his regular driver). McCloy reveals that Nekhorvich had actually taken all of Biocyte's Bellerophon, in the vials he carried (stolen by Ambrose) when traveling to Atlanta: Nekhorvich had in fact injected himself with the virus, since this would have been the only way to safely smuggle the virus into the US. IMF had thus been mistaken in assuming that Ambrose had stolen Chimera. McCloy still has some of the virus, and has made a deal with Ambrose to regain the cure stolen by Nekhorvich (at a bid of £37,000,000). Meanwhile Nyah is at Ambrose's compound where she meets Ethan, who tells her to stay there and do what Ambrose asks. As she leaves, the man who she assumed was Ethan unmasks himself revealing himself to be a bitterly upset Ambrose. Now that he knows of Nyah's true allegiance (especially since Nyah tried to come on to him) and that Ethan plans to go into Biocyte to destroy Chimera, Ambrose gathers his team together and heads to Biocyte.
At the same time, Ethan gets dropped into the Biocyte roof by Billy and Luther guiding Ethan from his van outside the building. Ethan then goes about destroying the last remaining samples of Chimera. Ambrose and his men interrupt Ethan before he can destroy all the samples and during the ensuing gun fight the last sample of Chimera gets dropped on the floor. Ambrose orders Nyah to retrieve it so that Ethan cannot intervene. Just as she is about to, Luther (who survived the explosion) is able to contact Ethan and tell him Nyah is in the building. When Nyah collects the last sample, she deliberately injects herself with it so that Ambrose will have to keep her alive, as well as attempting to prevent Ambrose from acquiring the virus directly. Biocyte security is alerted by an explosion created by Ethan. Whilst Ambrose and his team exchange gun fire with the security guards Ethan vows to save Nyah, blows down a wall, free falls out of the hole he just created and parachutes to safety. Ambrose and his team take Nyah away.
Next morning, Ambrose and his team go to a Biocyte facility on the outskirts of Sydney where they meet John C. McCloy. During the meeting, Ambrose orders his men to cut Nyah loose in downtown Sydney. As she is infected with Chimera, the virus will trigger a pandemic, starting with 17 million people in Australia before spreading across the world, that will cause demand for Bellerophon to sky-rocket. Ambrose demands McCloy's money for funding a massive purchase of stock options so that Ambrose would then make billions and would also own 51% of Biocyte. McCloy refuses to cooperate at first but having no choice, transfers the money. Ethan breaks up the meeting by blowing down the door. Ambrose sends Hugh Stamp and some other of his men to kill Ethan (after he is spotted through the fire caused by the explosion). Hugh finds Ethan first and, after a little hand to hand fight, Ethan drops a grenade which explodes and incapacitates Hugh. Ethan then calls to Sean (pretending he is Hugh) and after Ambrose shoots who he believes is Ethan, it is revealed he has killed Hugh from the bandage on his finger. This diversion allows Ethan to steal Bellerophon and a car chase between both Ethan and Ambrose's teams breaks out along the Sydney coast roads.
During the chase, Luther manages to locate Nyah who is on the cliffs about to kill herself so she cannot infect anyone else with chimera. Ethan orders Luther and Billy to go and collect her while he deals with the rest of Ambrose team. After the rest of his team are killed, Ambrose chases Ethan to a deserted beach where the two engage in a fist fight (during which Ambrose nearly kills Ethan with a knife to the eye). Ethan manages to gain the upper hand and knock Ambrose unconscious just as Luther and Billy arrive with Nyah. As Ethan is walking to Nyah, Ambrose points his gun at Ethan from behind, luckily Ethan manages to find his gun in time to shoot Ambrose himself. Nyah is injected with Bellerophon just in time.
Later Ethan informs Swanbeck that Chimera was all destroyed by fire which is why he could not bring back a living sample of the virus. Swanbeck then agrees to wipe out Nyah's criminal record and Ethan goes on another vacation, this time with Nyah in Sydney.

Mission: Impossible (1996 film)

Mission: Impossible (1996 film)-Tamil dubbed

Story Line:
Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is an agent of an Impossible Missions Force (IMF) team, an unofficial branch of the CIA. Led by Jim Phelps (Jon Voight), the team assembles for a mission in Prague to prevent an American diplomat from selling the non-official cover (NOC) list, a comprehensive list of all covert agents in Eastern Europe. The mission goes hopelessly wrong, seemingly resulting in the death of every team member except Hunt. Fleeing the scene, Hunt meets with IMF Director Eugene Kittridge (Henry Czerny) at a café. Kittridge discloses that operation was a setup meant to draw out a mole in the IMF named "Job" who has made a deal to sell the list to an arms dealer known as "Max." Suspicion now falls on Hunt, the only survivor of the mission, who makes a daring escape from the café and flees into the city.
Hunt returns to the IMF safe house, where he discovers that fellow agent Claire Phelps (Emmanuelle Béart), Jim's wife, has survived the mission. Hunt begins email correspondence with Max (Vanessa Redgrave) and meets with her in person to warn her about the fake NOC list—and offers to deliver the real one in exchange for $10 million and a face-to-face meeting with Job. Max agrees and Hunt assembles a team of disavowed agents: computer expert Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and pilot Franz Krieger (Jean Reno). Hunt, Stickell, Krieger, and Claire infiltrate the heavily fortified CIA headquarters in Langley and successfully steal the full NOC list before escaping to a safe house in London. There, Hunt discovers that his uncle and mother have been falsely arrested for drug trafficking in an attempt by Kittridge to lure him out of hiding. This infuriates Hunt, and he contacts Kittridge, who offers to drop the charges when Hunt surrenders. Hunt stays on the line long enough for Kittridge to trace him to London, then hangs up to find Jim Phelps standing right next to him.
Phelps, presumed dead in the Prague operation, tells Hunt that Kittridge is the mole and is trying to tie up loose ends. Hunt listens, mentally piecing together the operation and realizing that Phelps himself is Job. Hunt pretends to accept the story, understanding that Krieger has assisted Phelps, but is still doubtful about Claire's place in the conspiracy.
The next day, Max and Hunt arrange to meet aboard the TGV en route to Paris, with Claire and Stickell aboard to provide backup. Kittridge is also aboard, having received tickets and a watch from Hunt. Aboard the train, Hunt delivers the NOC list to Max, who directs him to the baggage car to find his money and Job. Claire arrives in the baggage car to meet with Phelps, revealing her complicity as she suggests that they leave with the money and let Ethan take the blame. "Jim" suddenly peels his face away, revealing himself as Hunt in disguise. They are interrupted by the arrival of the real Phelps: unhinged, armed and demanding that Hunt hand over the money. Hunt does so, but then slowly puts on a pair of glasses from the original operation in Prague, with a camera built into the bridge. The image of Phelps, alive, is transmitted to the video watch carried by Kittridge, exposing Job's true identity.
Claire tries to intervene, and Phelps kills her instead and climbs up to the roof of the car, while Krieger approaches the moving train in a helicopter to extract him. Hunt follows him onto the roof, impeding him and tethering Krieger's helicopter to the train, dragging it into the Channel Tunnel. In the tunnel, Phelps leaps to the helicopter. Hunt follows, climbing the helicopter's landing skids and attaching explosive chewing gum, a final relic of Prague, to the windshield. He leaps back to the train just as the ensuing explosion kills Phelps and Krieger.
Now with custody of the NOC list, Max, and Job's true identity, Kittridge reinstates Stickell and drops his investigation against Hunt, who resigns from the IMF. As he flies home, a flight attendant approaches him and asks, through a coded phrase, if he is ready to take on a new mission.

Goldfinger (1964 film)

Goldfinger (1964 film)-Tamil dubbed

Story Line:
In the pre-title sequence, James Bond (Sean Connery) infiltrates a Mexican drug lord's base by water wearing a dry suit with a snorkel (that may have been inspired by an actual World War II incident in the Netherlands[2]) camouflaged as a seagull. He destroys a hidden building with plastic explosives and electrocutes an assassin in a bathtub ("Shocking," says Bond. "Positively shocking.").
The main story begins in Miami Beach, Florida, at the Fontainebleau Hotel with Central Intelligence Agency agent Felix Leiter (Cec Linder) delivering a message to Bond from M to watch Auric Goldfinger (Gert Fröbe). Bond foils Goldfinger's cheating at gin rummy by distracting his employee, Jill Masterson (Shirley Eaton). After blackmailing Goldfinger into losing, Bond and Jill consummate their new relationship in Bond's hotel suite.
Following a dry remark concerning the loudness[citation needed] of Beatles concerts (the entire production was filmed and released during the height of Beatlemania) while looking in the fridge for a bottle of Dom Perignon '53, Bond is knocked out by Goldfinger's Korean manservant Oddjob (Harold Sakata), who then covers Jill in gold paint, supposedly killing her by epidermal suffocation.
In London, Bond learns that his true mission is determining how Goldfinger transports gold internationally. Prior to his assignment he is issued an Aston Martin DB5 from Q modified with several gadgets, including an ejector seat that is much to Bond's amusement, but that is later used during a chase scene. Bond arranges to meet Goldfinger socially and wins a high-stakes golf game against Goldfinger with a recovered Nazi gold bar at stake.
Goldfinger, who was caught cheating during the game, warns Bond to stay out of his business by having Oddjob decapitate a statue by throwing his steel-rimmed top hat. Undeterred, Bond follows him to Switzerland, where he unintentionally foils an assassination attempt on Goldfinger by Tilly Masterson (Tania Mallet) to avenge the death of her sister, Jill.
Bond sneaks into Goldfinger's plant and overhears him talking to a Red Chinese agent named Mr. Ling about "Operation Grand Slam". Leaving, Bond encounters Tilly as she is about to make a second attempt on Goldfinger's life, but they accidentally trip an alarm. Bond and Tilly attempt to escape, but Oddjob breaks Tilly's neck with his hat. Bond is soon captured after a car chase and Goldfinger has Bond tied to a gold table underneath an industrial laser, which slowly begins to slice the table in half. Bond then lies to Goldfinger that British Intelligence knows about Grand Slam, causing Goldfinger to spare Bond's life in order to mislead MI6 and the CIA into believing that Bond has things well in hand.
Bond is transported by Goldfinger's private Lockheed JetStar, flown by his personal pilot, Pussy Galore, to his stud farm near Fort Knox, Kentucky. Leiter notifies M that Bond has crossed the Atlantic, and M requests that the CIA keep an eye on him. Bond escapes and witnesses Goldfinger's meeting with US mafiosi, who have brought the materials he needs for Operation Grand Slam. At the end of the briefing, one of the mafiosi, Mr.Solo, asks Goldfinger to pay him immediately, rather than wait a few days for the larger return from Operation Grand Slam, as Goldfinger has just outlined. Goldfinger accepts and leads him out of the conference room; Bond slips his homing device into Solo's pocket. The rest of the mafia are then killed by a gas Goldfinger claims could render people unconscious for 24 hours. (It remains a mystery why Golfinger should take the trouble to detail his plans to the mafia bosses, minutes before he kills them). Solo is escorted to the airport in a Lincoln Continental driven by Oddjob, who kills him before continuing on to a wrecking yard where the car is crushed into a cube with the body inside, destroying Bond's homing device in the process. This also stumps Leiter and a fellow CIA agent, who had been tracking the homing device as it moved.(It is another mystery why Oddjob does not remove the gold bar from boot of the car before the car is crushed thus avoiding the need for Goldfinger's chemists to extract the gold from the cube.)
Bond is recaptured after hearing the details of Operation Grand Slam, but soon learns additional information from Goldfinger himself while having drinks with the supervillain. He intends to irradiate the US gold supply stored at the United States Gold Depository at Fort Knox with an atomic device that was provided by Mr. Ling. The device will render the US gold supply useless for 58 years, which will greatly increase the value of Goldfinger's own gold. This will also give the Chinese a world advantage resulting from economic chaos in the West.
Operation Grand Slam begins with the women pilots of Pussy Galore's Flying Circus spraying the nerve gas over Fort Knox to dispatch its garrison. However, Bond had seduced Pussy and persuaded her to contact the CIA and replace the poison with a harmless gas. The military personnel of Fort Knox convincingly play dead (including flipping a truck over on the side of the road) until they are certain that they can prevent the criminals escaping the base with the bomb. They choose this plan because Goldfinger had earlier suggested that if thwarted at Fort Knox, there was no telling where he might explode the device, so the CIA intends to trap both Goldfinger and the bomb beyond any reasonable hope of escape.
With the military forces "neutralized", Goldfinger's Chinese agents blow up the gates of Fort Knox with dynamite and gain entry to the loading dock with the industrial laser. As they gain access to the vault itself, Goldfinger arrives in a helicopter with the atomic device. Oddjob handcuffs Bond to the device and lowers both into the vault. As Goldfinger and his men prepare to leave, the Army troops surround them and all but wipe them out. Goldfinger has planned for every contingency, however: he takes off his coat, revealing a US Army uniform and kills Mr. Ling and the troops seeking to open the vault, before escaping himself.
Goldfinger's henchman Kisch, forced to retreat to the vault, intends to shut off the bomb but Oddjob throws him off a balcony to his death. Bond retrieves the man's keys and unlocks his handcuffs, but before he can disarm the bomb, Oddjob races down the stairs and attacks. Bond manages to duck under Oddjob's lethal hat and the ensuing fight proves that Oddjob is the superior combatant. A second hat-throw by Oddjob also misses and cuts an electrical line, with one of the severed cables lying loosely on the floor. Finally, Bond retrieves the hat and tries to throw it himself, without success. It wedges tightly between two of the vault bars. When Oddjob tries to recover it, Bond reaches the severed cable and brushes the exposed wiring to the metal bars, electrocuting Oddjob through the metal in his own hat.
Turning to the bomb, Bond manages to force the lock by hammering on it with a pair of gold bars, but the mechanism inside baffles him. With the clock winding down, Bond tries to randomly yank out a bundle of the cables, but an atomic specialist reaches past him and simply turns off the device with a switch, seven seconds before detonation, the American troops having forced entry into the vault in the meantime. The stopped clock is shown stuck on "007".
With Fort Knox safe, Bond is invited to the White House for a meeting with President Lyndon Johnson. He boards a military Lockheed JetStar for Washington, D.C., but Goldfinger has forced Pussy Galore to hijack it and fly to Cuba. Bond and Goldfinger struggle for the latter's gold-plated revolver and shoot a window, creating an explosive decompression of the aircraft. Goldfinger is blown out of the cabin through the window. With the plane out of control Bond rescues Galore and they parachute safely from the aircraft before it crashes. In the final scene, Leiter is shown flying over them in a helicopter, searching for Bond, who is far too busy having sex with Pussy to care about rescue at the present time.

The Expendables (2010 film)

The Expendables (2010 film)-Tamil dubbed

Story Line:
A team of elite mercenaries, the Expendables, are deployed to the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Somalia to halt local pirates from executing the hostages on a naval ship. The team consists of leader Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), former SAS soldier and blades specialist Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), martial artist Yin Yang (Jet Li), sniper Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), weapons specialist Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) and demolitions expert Toll Road (Randy Couture). Jensen instigates a firefight, causing casualties for the pirates. Yang and Jensen fight over a moral disagreement about hanging a pirate, with Ross finally intervening. As a result of his psychological problems and drug use, Ross reluctantly releases Jensen from the Expendables. The team then travels to New Orleans where they are stationed.
Ross and rival mercenary leader Trent Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) visit a church to meet a man, who takes the name "Mr. Church" (Bruce Willis). Church offers them a mission in Vilena, a fictional island in between the Gulf of Mexico and South America, to overthrow a brutal dictator, General Garza (David Zayas). Busy with other things, Trent gives the contract to Ross. Meanwhile, Christmas visits his girlfriend, Lacy (Charisma Carpenter), whom he discovers has left him for another man. He leaves in a fit of rage, while Lacy insists her actions occurred because she does not see Christmas often and does not even know what he does for a living.
Ross and Christmas fly to Vilena to do initial reconnaissance after meeting their contact, Sandra (Gisele Itié), only for the mission to go awry. Ross learns that Garza is backed by ruthless ex-CIA agent James Munroe (Eric Roberts) as well as his henchmen Paine (Steve Austin) and The Brit (Gary Daniels), who manipulate and keep Garza in power by making his people fear him. Sandra is revealed to be Garza's daughter. Ross decides to abort and causes casualties among the army as they escape, but Sandra refuses to leave. Meanwhile, a vengeful Jensen approaches Garza and Munroe to help their side.
Christmas visits Lacy again to find that her new boyfriend has beaten her after realizing she was Christmas' girlfriend and believed she was unfaithful to him and about to go back to Christmas. Christmas beats him and his friends, showing Lacy what he does for a living and winning her over. Later, Ross, Christmas, and Yang deduce that Mr. Church is a member of the CIA and that the real target is Munroe, as the CIA could not kill one of their own by sending in the special forces or the Navy Seals. Ross meets mission coordinator and former teammate Tool (Mickey Rourke) to vent his feelings of guilt. Tool makes an emotional confession to Ross about letting a woman commit suicide during the Bosnian War, and how he felt that if he had saved her, he could've saved what was left of his soul. Hearing this, Ross decides to go back for Sandra, telling Christmas and Yang he will do it alone. Yang however tags along; while driving they are chased on the road by Jensen in a shootout. The pursuit ends in an abandoned warehouse, where Yang and Jensen fight a second time. Jensen attempts to impale Yang on a pipe, only to be shot by Ross. A wounded Jensen, believing he is about to die, makes amends and gives the layout of Garza's palace. Ross boards the plane with Yang and finds the rest of team, ready to aid their friend.
The Expendables infiltrate Garza's compound. Christmas, Yang, Caesar, and Toll plant explosive charges throughout the site. When Garza has a change of heart after Munroe tortures his daughter and realized he had changed for the worst, Munroe kills him for his treachery, causing Garza's loyal men to think it was the Expendables who killed him and scatter in rage. The entire team fights and shoots their way through Garza's soldiers. Ross and Caesar manage to destroy the helicopter Munroe was to escape on. Christmas and Yang manage to kill The Brit while Toll kills Paine. Ross and Christmas catch up to Munroe and kill him, saving Sandra. Instead of taking the payment for the mission, Ross gives it to Sandra to restore Vilena. The team travels back to New Orleans and celebrate their victory at Tool's tattoo parlor, with the reformed and recovering Jensen. Christmas and Tool challenge each other to a game of knife throwing and Christmas recites a limerick about his respect for Tool, before throwing the knife perfectly in the center of the board.

During a particularly brutal beating by Cheng and his friends, the enigmatic maintenance man of Dre's building, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), comes to Dre's aid, revealing himself as a kung fu master who adeptly dispatches Dre's tormentors.
After Han mends Dre's injuries using fire cupping, Dre asks if Mr. Han could teach him Kung-Fu. Han refuses, but decides to go meet Cheng's teacher, Master Li (Yu Rongguang), to attempt to make peace, but the brutal Li, who teaches his students to show no mercy to their enemies, challenges Dre to a fight with Cheng. When Han declines, Li threatens him, saying that they will not be allowed to leave his school unless either Dre or Han himself fights. Han acquiesces, but insists the fight take place at an upcoming tournament, and that Li's students leave Dre alone until the tournament. The amused Li agrees, but tells Han that if Dre doesn't show up during the tournament, Li will personally bring pain to Han and Dre.
Han begins training Dre, but Dre is frustrated that Han merely has Dre spend hours taking off his jacket, hanging it up, dropping it, and then putting it back on again. After days of this, Dre refuses to continue, until Han demonstrates to him that the repetitive arm movements in question were Han's method of teaching Dre defensive block and strike techniques, which Dre is now able to display instinctively when prompted by Han's mock attacks. Han emphasizes that the movements Dre is learning apply to life in general, and that serenity and maturity, not punches and power, are the true keys to mastering the martial arts. During one lesson in the Wudang Mountains, Dre notices a female kung fu practitioner (Michelle Yeoh, in an uncredited cameo[4]) apparently copying the movements of a cobra before her, but Han informs him that it was the cobra that was imitating the woman, as in a mirror reflection. Dre wants Han to teach him this technique, which includes linking Han's hand and feet to Dre's via bamboo shafts while practicing their forms, but Dre's subsequent attempt to use this reflection technique on his mother is unsuccessful.
As Dre's friendship with Mei Ying continues, she agrees to attend Dre's tournament, as does Dre her upcoming recital. Dre persuades Mei Ying to cut school for a day of fun, but when she is nearly late for her violin recital, which has been rescheduled for that day, she tells him that her parents have deemed him a bad influence, and forbid her from spending any more time with him. Later, when Dre finds Mr. Han despondent, he learns that it is the anniversary of his wife and son's deaths, which occurred years ago when he lost control of his car while arguing with his wife. Dre reminds Han that one of his lessons was in perseverance, and that Han needs to heal from his loss, and tries to help him do so. Han then assists Dre in reading a note, in Chinese, of apology to Mei Ying's father, who, impressed, allows Mei to attend the tournament.
At the tournament, the under-confident Dre is slow to achieve parity with his opponents, but soon begins to beat them, and advances to the semifinals, as does Cheng, who violently finishes off his opponents. Dre eventually comes up against Liang, another of Master Li's students, who is instructed by Master Li to break Dre's leg. When Liang insists that he can beat Dre, Master Li sternly tells him that he doesn't want him beaten, but broken. During the match, Liang grabs Dre's low kick and delivers a devastating elbow strike to Dre's leg, along with a series of brutal follow-up punches. Although Liang is disqualified for his illegal strikes, Dre is incapacitated, which would allow Cheng to win by default.
Despite Han's insistence that he has earned respect for his performance in the tournament, Dre convinces Han to use his fire cupping technique to mend his leg, in order to see the tournament to the end. Dre returns to the arena, where he confronts Cheng. Dre delivers impressive blows, but Cheng counters with a debilitating strike to Dre's already injured leg. Dre struggles to get up, and adopts the one-legged form he first learned from the woman on the mountain, attempting to use the reflection technique to manipulate Cheng's movements. Cheng charges Dre, but Dre flips, and catches Cheng with a kick to his head, winning the tournament, along with the respect of Cheng and his classmates, both for himself and Mr. Han.
