Jumanji (1995) - Tamil Dubbed

Story Line:
In 1869, two boys bury a chest near Bradford, New Hampshire. When one boy asks what will happen if someone unearths it, the other replies "May God have mercy on his soul." The sound of tribal drums is heard as the boys ride away.
A century later, in 1969, 12-year-old Alan Parrish (Hann-Byrd) flees on his bicycle from a gang of bullies, then runs into the shoe factory owned by his father, Sam (Hyde), where he meets his friend Carl Bentley (Grier), one of Sam's employees. When Alan accidentally damages a shoe that Carl designed, Carl takes the blame and loses his job. Outside the factory, after the bullies beat him up and steal his bike, Alan follows the sound of tribal drumbeats into a construction site and finds the buried chest, which contains a board game called "Jumanji".
After taking the game home, Alan has an argument with Sam, who wants to send him to boarding school. Alan prepares to run away, but his friend Sarah Whittle (Laura Bell Bundy), who is the lead bully's girlfriend, arrives with Alan's bicycle. Alan and Sarah begin a game of Jumanji, which behaves strangely: When a player rolls the dice, the player's piece moves itself and a message appears on the board. The goal is to reach the center of the board and say "Jumanji". When Alan makes his first move, he is sucked into the board. The message for the move is In the jungle you must wait, until the dice read five or eight, meaning that Alan is trapped in the Jumanji jungle. He will be freed when a player rolls a five or an eight, but Sarah abandons the game after being attacked by African bats.
Twenty-six years later, in 1995, Judy and Peter Shepherd (Dunst and Pierce) move into the Parrish house with their aunt Nora (Neuwirth) after losing their parents in a car accident in Canada. They hear Jumanji's drumbeats and find the board game in the attic. When they begin playing, they are attacked by giant mosquitoes and crazed monkeys. The instructions say things will return to normal once the game is done, so they continue. Peter rolls a five, releasing both a lion and Alan (Williams), who is now an adult. Alan locks the lion in the bedroom, then goes to the shoe factory, which is now boarded up and closed. On the way, he meets Carl, who lives unhappily as a police officer. In the factory, a stranger tells Alan that Sam abandoned the business to search for him until his death.
When rolling the dice has no effect on the board, Alan realizes they are continuing the game he and Sarah started back in 1969. The next move is Sarah's. They find Sarah (Hunt) at home, a reclusive outcast traumatized by the game and its aftermath. She refuses to play, so Alan tricks her into rolling the dice. The following moves release man-eating vines, a hunter named Van Pelt (Hyde), a stampede of rhinos, elephants and zebras, and a pelican that steals the board. Increasingly relentless havoc ensues throughout the town. Among other things, Peter starts turning into a monkey after trying to cheat; Peter, Sarah and Judy battle Van Pelt in a hardware store; a monsoon floods the house; and an earthquake splits it in two. Finally, Alan wins the game after dropping the dice while cornered by Van Pelt. When he calls out "Jumanji", Van Pelt and the other jungle elements are sucked back into the board.
With the game over, Alan and Sarah find themselves as children in 1969 again, but retaining their memories of the game. Alan admits his guilt for destroying Carl's shoe, Carl gets his job back, and Sam tells Alan he doesn't have to go to boarding school. Alan and Sarah then throw the Jumanji board into a river. Twenty-six years later, Alan's and Sarah's knowledge of their experiences during the game has changed the future for the better: Alan and Sarah are married and expecting a child, Alan's parents are still alive, Alan has taken over the shoe business, and Carl still works there.
When Judy, Peter, and their parents visit the Parrishes at a Christmas party, Alan and Sarah offer Judy and Peter's father a job in the shoe company and frantically discourage them from taking their planned skiing vacation in Canada, fearing that they would die in a car accident there as in the previous timeline. Sometime later, two French-speaking girls hear drumbeats as they walk along a beach, where the Jumanji game is half buried in the sand.

Alice in Wonderland (2010 film)

Alice in Wonderland (2010 film) - Tamil dubbed

Story Line:
Troubled by a strange recurring dream and mourning the loss of her beloved father, nineteen-year-old Alice Kingsleigh attends a garden party at Lord Ascot's estate, where she is faced with the expectations of marriage and of the society in which she lives. Unsure of how to reply and increasingly confused, she runs away to chase after a rabbit in a waistcoat, and accidentally falls into a rabbit hole. She is transported to a world called Underland where she is greeted by the White Rabbit, the Dormouse, the Dodo, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee. They argue over her identity as "the right Alice," who it is foretold will slay the Red Queen's Jabberwocky on the Frabjous Day and restore the White Queen to power. They consult Absolem[7] the Caterpillar, who decides that she is "not hardly Alice." The group is then ambushed by the Bandersnatch and a group of playing-card soldiers led by the Knave of Hearts. Alice escapes and flees into the woods.
The Knave informs the Red Queen that Alice has returned to Underland and threatens her reign, and the Red Knights are ordered to find Alice immediately. Meanwhile, the wandering Alice encounters the Cheshire Cat, who takes her to the Mad Hatter and March Hare. On the way to the White Queen's castle, Hatter relates the terror of the Red Queen's reign, and comments that Alice is not the same as she once was. The Hatter helps Alice avoid capture by allowing himself to be seized instead. Later, Alice is found by Bayard the bloodhound, who wishes to take her to the White Queen, but Alice insists upon helping the Hatter, so they go to the Red Queen's castle.
The Red Queen is unaware of Alice's true identity (believing she is named "Um") and therefore welcomes her as a guest. Meanwhile, the Hatter persuades the Queen to let him serve as her personal milliner in an attempt to delay his execution. Alice learns that the Vorpal Sword (the only weapon capable of killing the Jabberwocky) is locked away in a case inside the Bandersnatch's den. The Knave attempts to seduce Alice, but she rebuffs him. She later manages to retrieve the sword and befriend the Bandersnatch. The Knave finds her with the sword and attempts to arrest her. Alice escapes on the back of the Bandersnatch and delivers the sword to the White Queen. The Cheshire Cat saves the Hatter from execution, and the Hatter calls for rebellion against the Red Queen. The resistance flees to the White Queen's castle, and both armies prepare for battle. Alice remains unsure about the expectation for her to champion the White Queen, and meets once more with Absolem. He reminds Alice of her past visit to Underland (which she mistakenly called "Wonderland" at the time) thirteen years earlier, and helps give her the courage to fight the Jabberwocky.
When the Frabjous Day arrives, both the White and Red Queens gather their armies on a chessboard-like battlefield and send forth their chosen champions (armor-clad Alice and the Jabberwocky respectively) to decide the fate of Underland. The White Queen offers her sister a chance for peace but is refused. Encouraging herself with words of her father, Alice manages to kill the Jabberwocky. Having regained control of the throne, the White Queen banishes the Red Queen and the Knave to the Outlands, and gives Alice a vial of the Jabberwocky’s blood, which will take her home. The Hatter suggests that she could stay in Underland, but she decides that she must go back and promises that she will return.
After drinking the blood, Alice returns home, where she addresses all of the issues she faced at the beginning of the film and takes charge of her life. She then becomes an apprentice for Lord Ascot, with the idea of beginning oceanic trade routes in China. As the story closes, Alice prepares to set off on a trading ship. Absolem, now a butterfly, lands on her shoulder. Alice recognizes him before he flutters away.

Minority Report 2002

Minority Report(2002) - Tamil Dubbed

Story Line:

In 2054, an experimental Washington, D.C. police force called Precrime has completely neutralized murder in the city. Precrime employs three "precogs", mutated humans with precognition to view murders that occur in the future; the officers of Precrime then analyze and interpret their visions to track down and stop the murder before it happens. John Anderton is chief of the force, working under its director Lamar Burgess, however, he hides the fact that he is addicted to an illegal psychoactive drug called neuroin since the disappearance of his son Sean, which also caused his wife Lara to leave him.
On the eve of the Precrime program being taken to a national level, a Department of Justice representative, Danny Witwer, arrives to investigate the program. The Precrime officers are wary of Witwer, who they believe is trying to turn control of Precrime over to the Department of Justice. During Witwer's visit, the precogs foresee Anderton killing a man named Leo Crow in a few days; Anderton escapes the facility and a subsequent manhunt once the precrime is discovered. Believing himself to be set up by Witwer, who has discovered his addiction, Anderton tracks down Dr. Iris Hineman, the lead researcher for Precrime. She reveals that the precogs do not always agree about the future, and that the differing vision, a "minority report," could show Anderton not committing the murder and thus prove his innocence. Anderton undergoes eye replacement surgery to avoid the iris identification systems throughout the city. He then uses his old eyes to enter Precrime headquarters and abduct Agatha, the precog that Hineman noted always had the minority report.
Using Agatha's future insight to avoid capture, Anderton takes Agatha to a hacker to extract her vision of Leo Crow's murder, but finds it is the same as the original report. However, Agatha provides Anderton with her vision of the death of a woman named Anne Lively, which Anderton records. Chased by Precrime, Anderton and Agatha end up at the apartment where Crow is to die; they find his room, covered with hundreds of pictures of children including Sean. When Crow enters, Anderton holds him at gunpoint, but at Agatha's pleading decides to arrest him instead, invalidating the prediction. Crow admits that he is only here to be killed by Anderton to have his family paid off handsomely and he didn't have any involvement with Sean. Anderton refuses to kill Crow and demands to know who set this up, but Crow forces himself on Anderton's gun and makes him pull the trigger. Anderton and Agatha flee to Lara's home, while Witwer and Precrime investigate the crime scene.
Witwer doubts Anderton killed in cold blood, and his investigation leads him to discover the Anne Lively murder. He approaches Burgess to reveal that the Ann Lively precog vision differs slightly from the one that Anderton had downloaded from Agatha. Witwer proposes these two visions represent separate murders; because precogs sometimes experience relapses of past murders, or "echoes," Witwer explains someone could get away with murder by hiring someone to try and kill Lively, and allowing the crime to be prevented by Precrime. Having viewed the precog vision beforehand, the murderer would then kill Lively in exactly the same way as depicted in the precog vision, fooling Precrime into thinking they were viewing an echo and not a separate murder. Witwer intuits that the murderer would have to be someone high up in Precrime to have viewed the precog vision and then erase it from the Precrime archives. Burgess then kills Witwer, noting that without Agatha, the precog hive mind couldn't predict this murder. He then frames Anderton for the murder, knowing that he would have ample motive for killing Witwer.
After being taken in by Lara, Anderton comes to realize that Anne Lively is Agatha's mother, and the knowledge of her death is the reason for the manhunt against him, and shares this with Lara. Precrime arrives at Lara's home and Anderton is taken into custody, while Agatha is put back into the system. Burgess, preparing for a celebratory dinner for the Precrime program, consoles Lara, but accidentally reveals more about Lively's murder than he should know. Lara forces the release of Anderton from prison. During the dinner, Anderton calls Burgess while Agatha's vision of Lively's death is played for the guests. The footage clearly shows Burgess as the murderer, having set up a false target just as Witwer had predicted. Burgess had killed Lively to stop her from attempting to take her daughter Agatha back. Burgess then had Anderton set up when he knew too much.
As Burgess takes the gun he was awarded at the Precrime ceremony to use on Anderton, Precrime receives reports that Burgess will kill Anderton. Anderton notes to Burgess the dilemma he is in: either he can kill Anderton, thus demonstrating Precrime works but becoming a murderer himself, or he can spare him, showing Precrime as a failure. Anderton reveals the fundamental flaw of the system: if one knows his or her own future, he or she can change it. Burgess decides to commit suicide and kills himself as Precrime arrive at the scene. As a result, the Precrime division is shut down, with all those incarcerated by them released. Anderton later reunites with Lara (shown pregnant with their second child), while the three precogs are allowed to live out their normal lives, far out on a remote island, where they can no longer be troubled by future visions.

Kungfu Hustle 2004 - Tamil Dubbed
Story Line:
1930s Shanghai is in the grip of various gangs struggling for power, with the Axe Gang being foremost. Main character Sing is an ineffectual small-time crook trying to join the Axe Gang. In doing so, he and buddy Bone attempt to command respect from the Pig Sty Alley. Their bumbling attracts the real gang, who are repelled by the martially-skilled Coolie, Tailor and You-Tiao (fried dough sticks) baker. Sing muses over his unfortunate past while Axe Gang leader Brother Sum hires a pair of assassins known as the Harpists to kill the martial artists. In this they succeed, although they are defeated by the Alley's Landlord and wife. Sing, being known for lockpicking, is taken in to break out top pugilist the Beast (literally translated, Evil God of the Fiery Cloud) to use against Landlord and wife. The subsequent battle is a tie. The inept Sing, instructed to break the tie in the Axe Gang's favour, instead turns against them and is heavily wounded. This, however, awakens his latent power and he finally triumphs over the Axe Gang.
Directed, led and written by famous Hong Kong comedian Stephen Chow, it is a comedic parody of and homage to Chinese Wuxia films and American musicals from the 50's, best summarised, in the words of Roger Ebert, as "like Jackie Chan and Buster Keaton meet Quentin Tarantino and Bugs Bunny". The above fails to do justice to the brilliance of the film.
