Petite beauty Trisha is being in the eye of gossipmongers from a very long time. She is linked all the way from star heroes in Kollywood to young generation dudes like Rana and Vishal. The actress who started her career about eight years ago is a name to reckon with in Tamil and Telugu film industry. She is currently acting in Telugu movie Dammu with NTR and Tamil movie Samaran opposite Vishal.
To shut mouth of all Gossip mongers,Trisha has announced that she would soon be revealing to the press all the details of who her real-life lover is.
Trisha, however, says that she has cut down on the number of films. Marriage is said to be on the cards, sources close to her family said. Presently shooting in Pollachi for the Telugu film Dammu opposite Jr. NTR, Trisha says, "I’m very friendly with all my co-stars and other technicians. I’m aware that friendship is a double-edged sword and I always stay within my own limits in a relationship."
"I’m aware of the many rumours floating in the press about me. I can only laugh at them. Soon, I’m likely to get married and before that, I’d announce to the whole world details about my beau. I have cut down on my assignments in order to pave way for newcomers,” concludes Trisha.

Actress Trisha may be happy with Mankatha turning a blockbuster but still the failure of Khatta Meetha, her debut film in Bollywood, is a sore. She wants to make a comeback in Bollywood, although she has been successful in Tamil and Telugu.

Mankatha 6th weekend Malaysia box office
The film has collected approximately Rs. 11,617 on 1 screen and in its previous weekend the film has collected Rs. 51,944 on 2 screens.
'Mankatha' has totally collected Rs. 5,41,62,549 in the Malaysia box office.
Vishal's Samaran follows 7am Arivu way to China
Kollywood audience will witness more of China in coming days. While AR Murugadoss is ready to show the Tamil connection with China in his forthcoming movie 7aam Arivu, Vishal and Trisha Krishnan's Samaran will explore the beautiful locales of the neighbouring country.
Sources have said that a few songs and some key scenes of Samaran will be shot in China. Though, the makers of the film are yet to get the permission for shooting, they are confident that their request will be approved by the concerned authorities.
It is reported that Vishal Krishna will be seen in the role of a guide for trekkers. Situations in the film force him to go to China and discover new things, say reports. Other details about Samaran are under wraps. The film directed by Thiru also features Prakash Raj in an important role.

Samaran - action packed thriller for Vishal
The first schedule of shoot will commence from 27th October in Chalakudy forests in Kerala. Later, the unit will fly to China for filming major portions and the makers are presently on plans to get the permission for the film.
Samaran has Trisha as the leading lady and Prakash Raj in a vital role. Vishal's brother Vikram Krishna is producing the film under their home banner GK Film Corporation. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music while Richard Nathan is handling the cinematography.
Ajith and Venkat Prabhu planning for Mankatha sequel
The filmmaker has admitted that they are planning for a sequel of Mankatha. Venkat Prabhu says that he had two scripts in hand before starting the recently released film. Now that the Tamil movie has been well-received by the audience, the director has decided to take up the other one.
In fact, Arjun Sarja had also told Venkat Prabhu before that Mankatha could become a franchise and asked him to be ready with another script for the second instalment of the Tamil film. Sources say that the film unit is raring to make the sequel for the movie.
However, it is not sure when the proposed project will be launched. Currently, Ajith Kumar is busy with the sequel of Billa, which is directed by Chakri Toleti.
Vishal - Trisha film has been titled as Samaran
After turned many offers many offers made by Vishal, Trisha has finally accepted the offer as she found the script very interesting. The film is said to be a quickie and will be wrapped up in just 120 days. The film will be directed by Thiru while Bharani Ramesh will be producing this quickie. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to score the music for Samaran.
Vishal will be starting this film after completing his on going project Vedi. The expectations are high around the film as Trisha is joining Vishal for the first time.
The cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalized and will be announced officially soon
Trisha - Lakshmi Rai controversy over ‘Mankatha’ roles
The actress has done a negative role in this film and is receiving good credits for her performance. But now Lakshmi Rai picks up an unwanted dispute with Trisha saying that Venkat Prabhu had offered her to choose between two roles and she chose the negative one as it couple of songs and more meaty scope during climax as well.
Trisha soon comes into the picture adding that Venkat Prabhu told that he had written the character with her in mind and there is no point to argue about it. ‘My character had more to do with the emotional quotient and it is very well received by the audiences for they have been appreciating me. Naturally the actress starring opposite Ajith Kumar will be the highlight when it comes to publicity.’
Venkat Prabhu is little disappointed with Lakshmi Rai as he utters that the film is a good hit now and he is wondering why Lakshmi Rai is putting down other artists..

However, Lakshmi Rai, who has been noticed in her vampish role, now claims that she was the first actress to be signed on by Venkat Prabhu and that she was offered the choice of roles between Ajith's love interest and Sona.
"Yes, I was given a choice. Venkat and I were having a casual chat and I asked him to explain both the characters to me. I liked the role of Sona better. She has a lot to do and is part of the climax as well. I got to do some meaty stuff and also be part of two songs! Moreover, I have never done a character with shade of negativity earlier in Kollywood. I'm very happy with the response I've been getting," says Lakshmi.
But the director begs to differ. Venkat clarifies, "I think Lakshmi Rai is confused. It was never the case. She was, in fact, confirmed for a role in which she's paired with Ashwin in the first script I wrote. When Ajith came into the picture, I changed the screenplay and because we had already given her an advance, we offered her Sona's role. I approached only Trisha for the role opposite Ajith."
Trisha has been widely appreciated for her small but emotional role in Mankatha. On her part, the actress says, "Venkat and I are good friends. He called me and told me that he had written this role with me in mind and asked if I could do it. And I also wanted to work with him. I told Venkat, 'anything for you.' I love Ajith and I have done two films with him. I like being part of a big project."

At the end of the day whether there are 3 or 4 girls in the film, whoever is paired opposite Ajith will be featured in the publicity. I just think it's very silly."

Mankatha's Rs. 81.72 lakhs collection in UK
Ajith's 50th movie Mankatha has taken a phenomenal opening not just in India, but overseas as well. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Mankatha is creating a buzz in the state as it had the second highest opening post Rajinikanth's Enthiran. The latest buzz is that the film has collected Rs. 81.72 lakhs in its opening weekend in United Kingdom.Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja's peppy track and the racy background score are already the talk of the town. Apart from Thala Ajith, Mankatha also has Trisha, Arjun, Anjali, Andrea, Premji, Vaibhav, Mahanth, Ashwin, Lakshmi Rai and Jayaprakash in prominent roles. The film is produced by Cloud Nine Movies and released under the Sun Pictures banner. Mankatha is an action thriller which narrates the story of match-fixing sagas in international cricket matches. Arjun plays the role of an investigative officer officer who takes up the task of exposing the bookies. Thala Ajith plays the role of a cop-cum-gambler.

Actor Ajith’s latest film ‘Mankatha’ has opened to a tremendous response from his fans and the general public. The film is the landmark 50th film in his career spanning close to two decades. Ajith’s last couple of films in ‘Aegan’ and ‘Asal’ didn’t do as well as his fans would have expected and as such, the clamour among his fans in anticipation of the release of ‘Mankatha’ was something that was seen to be believed.The rates of the few tickets which were sold in ‘black’ on the opening two days were almost equal to that of superstar Rajini’s ‘Enthiran: The Robot’. Reports say that fans and the public didn’t think twice in dishing out money to the tune of Rs.300 to Rs.500 for a single ticket to watch the film on the first two days. The fact that Ajith is playing a full-time ‘negative’ role for the first time has only upped the craze of his fans.
Trade circles point out that the collections in the first two days was a whopping Rs.2.8 crores, which augurs well for the film’s run at least for the next couple of weeks. Everything points out to the film becoming a super-duper hit in the coming weeks. The moment Sun Pictures entered the fray and made it clear that ‘Mankatha’ would be released on 31st August, at least 2-3 films which were lined up for release on 2nd September have now been postponed by a fortnight to escape the ‘onslaught’ of Mankatha.
The films which now eye 16th, 23rd and 30th September as release dates are ‘Aayiram Vilakku’ starring Sathyaraj, Shanthanu and Sanaa Khan and directed by the newly wed Hosimin, debutant director Saravanan’s ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’ starring Jai, Sharvanand, Anjali and Ananya, ‘Murann’ starring (and co-produced by) Cheran and Prasanna and dircted by Rajan Madhav, ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ directed by Sargunam and ‘Vellour Maavattam’ starring Nandha and Poorna in the lead and directed by Manohar.
The Jiiva-Tapasee starrer ‘Vandhan Vendraan’ is likely to hit the screens on 16th September.
Ajith's Mankatha victory over Bodyguard
Salman Khan’s ”Bodyguard” was a one of the expected movie this year which got released with ”Mankatha”. ”Bodyguard” is a remake of Vijay’s Tamil movie ”Bodyguard”.
No movie was ready to compete with Thalai’s Mankatha except ”Bodyguard” which got smashed down by Ajith’s Mankatha.

Mankatha turns 'Gambler' in Telugu
Ajith aka Thala's latest offering, 'Mankatha', has become a rage among the young and his fans are on a 'Mankatha' high, literally. Grapevine has it that Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the Telugu dubbing rights for the film and the dubbing work is taking place at a brisk pace, after which, the film will be released as 'Gambler'.
