Vikram's Raja Pattai to speak in Telugu too

Vikram's Raja Pattai, which is progressing briskly in and around Chennai, will be dubbed and released in Telugu simultaneously.

In Raja Pattai, Vikram plays the role of a gym instructor who comes to the city with a dream of becoming a big villain in Tamil films. Raja Pattai is directed by Suseendran and sexy siren Deeksha Seth, who created waves in Tollywood within a short time, will make her Kollywood debut with this film. At a recent press meet, Vikram assured that the film will be a complete action entertainer with the right mix of humour and logic.

Deeksha has revealed that she will play the role of a modern IT professional; Abhinaya will also be seen in a prominent role. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score music and Madhie is the cinematographer of this complete action thriller. Veteran actor K. Viswanath will appear as Vikram's father. Recently PVP Cinemas has taken over Raja Pattai from Singamala Ramesh's SP Creations.

Ajith to do remake of Mahesh Babu's Dookudu?

Kollywood hottest star Ajith is frequently on headlines for the latest happenings of his career. It was a few hours ago we have reported that he is charging Rs 17 crore as his remuneration for producer AM Ratnam film. Now we hear something about Ajith-AM Ratnam film.

The latest talk joining the bandwagon is that Ajith might do the remake of Telugu film Dhookudu, produced by AM Ratnam.  Dhookudu features Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu and Samantha in the lead roles. The first screening of the film recently took place in Chennai and Ajith made his presence for the screening.  Thala was thoroughly impressed with the script and immediately decided to do the film. The film has a racy script blend well with plentiful dosage of comedy and romance.

Dhookudu is one of the most-awaited and expected biggies of Tollywood which is going to hit the screens this weekend.

Karthi not reluctant for new directors, direct Telugu movie soon

 

Karthi while speaking to the media said," The film Aayirathil Oruvan has been dubbed in Telugu with the title Yuganiki Okkadu and was released. In the same way my film Naan Mahan Alla was dubbed in Telugu with the title Naa Pere Shiva and was released. My film Paiyya was also dubbed in Telugu with the title Awara.

All these dubbed films turned out to big nits. So I have decided to act in a direct Telugu film. So I have been meeting lots of Telugu directors. I will act in a Telugu film which impresses me. There is also news that I will be acting in a Malayalam film. But I don’t have such idea because I don’t know Malayalam. I will examine this if I have to act in unavoidable circumstances. But some of the Malayalam directors are in touch with me. But they are speaking to me in connection with directing a Tamil film for me.
I was reluctant earlier to act in the films directed by new directors. But after Saguni, this hesitation has gone now. Debutant director Shankar Dayal has directed this film. This film has come out well."

7th sense (7am Arivu) Telugu logo launched

Ace director A.R. Murugadoss' much awaited 7aam Arivu, which has Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles, will be released in Telugu as 7th Sense. The logo of 7th Sense was launched in Hyderabad recently. Suriya, Shruti Haasan, Murugadoss, Sunil, Boyapati Sreenu, Sukumar, Mehar Ramesh and Bellamkonda Suresh graced the occasion.

The film is likely to grace theatres on October 28, 2011 (Diwali weekend). The director is currently busy with the post production works and the music launch will take place in Chennai on September 22, 2011. The story is said to revolve around a time machine which is brought to India by a scientist. 7aam Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a triple role: a circus artist, a Buddhist monk and a scientist. Vietnamese stunt actor Johnny Tri Nguyen will play the baddie.

The film is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 84 crores and interestingly, this is the highest budget film in Suriya's career till date. The technical team includes Harris Jayaraj (music), Ravi K. Chandran (cinematography) and Anthony Gonsalves (editing).

Mankatha turns 'Gambler' in Telugu

Ajith aka Thala's latest offering, 'Mankatha', has become a rage among the young and his fans are on a 'Mankatha' high, literally. Grapevine has it that Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the Telugu dubbing rights for the film and the dubbing work is taking place at a brisk pace, after which, the film will be released as 'Gambler'.

'Mankatha' is directed by Venkat Prabhu and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Accolades are being showered on Ajith for his performance as a baddie, and for his George Clooney look that has fetched him even more fans, we must say.

The film has a twist at almost every scene and keeps the audience glued to the screens to know who is on whose side and boasts off an ensemble of star cast including Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Premgi, Andrea, Mahat, Vaibhav and many others.

'Gambler' is touted to see light of the day in Andhra Pradesh on September 9.

Allari Naresh’s Seema Tapakai will be completing its 50 days in 30 centres by Friday, 1^st July. Seema Tapakai is a full-fledged comedy entertainer directed by G Nageswara Rao and produced by Dr Malla Vijay Prasad. The makers have planned to hold the 50 days function in Vizag on 10^th July.

Speaking on the eve of his Birthday [30^th June] Allari Naresh said, “I’m happy with the success of my two films in 2011, Aha Naa Pellanta and Seema Tapakai. Audience has proved that piracy can’t stop a good film’s success. I was considered as Producers hero till date but Seema Tapakai proved me as exhibitors’ hero.”

Allari Naresh has become quite busy actor in Tollywood and his diary for 2011 is almost full. Madatha Kaja, and a Tamil film in Samudrakani’s direction are currently in sets and he has 4 more projects in hand, which will be announced shortly.
