Madhavan-Arya-Bharath in 'Raajneeti' Tamil Remake

http://icdn1.indiaglitz.com/tamil/news/aryamadhavan060911_m.jpg
Bollywood blockbuster Raajneeti is the latest movie, which will be remade in Tamil. UTV Motion Pictures is planning to remake the film in Kollywood with Aarya, Madhavan, Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj and Bharath in the leads.

Arya might do Ranbir's role in the Tamil version of the hit Hindi multistarrer

Politics and films go hand-inglove in Tamil Nadu. And, politically-charged films have often created a stir in the state. Based on this, if rumours are to be believed, a Mumbai-based corporate is planning to remake the Bollywood superhit Raajneeti in Tamil. Arya is said to be the frontrunner to play Ranbir Kapoor's role in the Tamil version.

If the move comes through, the film could be among the biggest multistarrers in Tamil cinema as the original had big names like Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Naseeruddin Shah and Arjun Rampal in the lead. The Kollywood names currently doing the rounds for the project are Madhavan, Arya, Sathyaraj, Prakash Raj, and Bharath. The studio is looking at big-name directors who can pull-off multistarrers, for Raajneeti. Shankar and Lingusamy seem to be the frontrunners for the project.

"But, there are doubts about Shankar signing on the project as he is currently doing a remake with Nanban and might not be keen on doing another remake immediately," says a source. On the other hand, chances are bright for Lingusamy, as the director's upcoming Vettai is being co-produced by the studio. "He has also inked a threefilm deal with them for his other productions which might land him this flick," adds the source.

Director: G.N.R. Kumaravelu
Banner: Ram Pictures
Producer: Baija
Music: Vijay Anthony
Cinematography: Jagadeswaran
Editing: G.K. Prabhkar
Release Date: August 26, 2011

Romance and Tamil cinema always goes hand in hand. If there is one genre that never fails at the box office, then it should be romance. Chocolate hero Bharath, who played a critically acclaimed role in Vaanam, is back with director GNR's Yuvan Yuvathi. The film was recently in the headlines for grabbing a clean U certificate from the censor board without any cuts. The script, written by S. Ramakrishnan, has equal doses of love and humour. Yuvan Yuvathi will also mark the Kollywood debut of Rima, a popular star in Mollywood. The film also has Santhanam in an important major role.

Yuvan Yuvathi narrates the relationship between father (Sampath) and son (Bharath). Bharath plays the role of a modern guy working in a corporate setting. It's a tale of two lovebirds working in a corporate setup. Earlier in an interview the director assured that the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair will create wonders on screen. So here we take a look at the plot of Yuvan Yuvathi.

THE PLOT

Kathir aka Kathiresan (Bharath), is an IT graduate who works for a leading MNC in Tidel Park. Like many youngsters, his main goal in life is to settle down in US. Reason? His father (Sampath), an arrogant villager from Usalampathi is behind him with a marriage alliance. Kathir's father is the local zamindar of the village and he hates love marriages. He infact goes to the extent of killing a young man for marrying the girl he loves. To escape from his father and the arrogant behaviors of the his relative, Kathir plans to go to US secretly. Kathir's good friend and roommate Sakkara (Santhanam) helps him in all his good and bad deeds.

One day Kathir meets Nisha (Rima) at the US Consulate and like any other love story they end up fighting with each other. Meanwhile Nisha looses her passport and blames it on Kathir's bad luck. After a series of incidents, Kathir helps Nisha to get a new passport and he slowly falls in love with her. Later Kathir and Nisha applies together for US visa and they gets it. A day before their journey Nisha reveals that she is going to get married in US soon. Kathir is heartbroken!

Twist comes in the form of Kathir's father who misunderstand that Nisha is his son's girlfriend and decides to kidnap her. At the right time Kathir reaches the spot, saves Nisha but her marriage gets canceled.

The story takes a leap of ten months! At Seychelles Island Kathir is now working as a project manager, none of his family members knows about his whereabouts. There he suddenly meets Nisha, who works in a hospital! What will happen next? Watch out for Yuvan Yuvathi!

THE PERFORMANCE

Bharath looks stylish on screen and does his part very well. But we would expect him to see in more author backed roles like Veyil and Vaanam. As usual his dancing skills is one of his biggest asset. Rima Kallingal, who made her on screen debut with Shyamprasad's Ritu, looks beautiful on screen. She does her part very well and sends out a clear message that she is here to stay. Santhanam's comedy one liners impresses in bits and pieces. Sampath is one of the major highlight of the film. He excels as an arrogant father! Anuja Iyer and Shakthi makes a special appearance towards the end of the film.

THE TECHNIQUES

Director G.N.R. Kumaravelu, who has cranked the camera for Ninaithale Innikum, has come out with a feel good entertainer. However couples of songs and few scenes could have been deleted to increase the pace of the film. Music by Vijay Anthony is good with the songs 'Oh My Angel' and 'Kola Kuthu' standing out. Camera works by Jagadeswaran is classy and sophisticated. The beauty of the Islands are rightly captured on Jagadeswaran's lens. But G.K. Prabhkar's editing could have been better!

Overall Yuvan Yuvathi is another feel good entertainer!

Starring: Bharath, Reema Kallingal
Direction: G.N.R. Kumaravel
Music: Vijay Antony
Production: Ram Pictures
Vocals: Vijay Antony, Vijay Prakash, Madhumitha, Haricharan, Snegha, Karthik, Ramya, Krishnan Mahesan, Sangeetha Rajeshwaran
Lyrics: Annamalai, Kalai Kumar, Priyan

G.N.R. Kumaravel and Vijay Anthony duo is back again, after their hit combination in their debut film, Ninaithalae Inikkum.

They plan to repeat their magic this time around with Yuvan Yuvathi starring Bharath and Reema Kallingal.

Vijay Anthony has put forth seven tracks in the album, which is a mix of trendy and melodious songs.

Oh My Angel…
Singers: Vijay Anthony
Lyrics: Annamalai

Vijay Anthony renders his voice to the aptly high-pitched solo, which is infectious from the first note to the very last.

The instrumentation, lyrics (Annamalai) and the vocal delivery (Vijay Anthony) makes 'Oh my Angel' a prospective hit of the year. Beginning with a burst of energy, the opening title track is a good indicator of neatly orchestrated music.

Mayakka Oosi...
Singers: Vijay Prakash, Madhumitha
Lyrics: Kalaikumar

This song is a breath of fresh air into the realm of melody. The song progresses from a light finger-picked melody and builds itself on with the gradual addition of flute, drums, piano and strings that amaze you how all of the elements fit so well. Vijay Prakash’s stylish rendition and Madhumitha's captivating vocals translate beautifully to produce a mesmerizing song.

24 hours…
Singers: Haricharan
Lyrics: Annamalai

It is a laid-back hip-hop experimentation by Vijay Anthony, which is sure to appease the youth. It is refreshing to hear hip-hop sounding innovative and a bit south-Indian. Lyricist Annamalai's youthful, catchy lines make it sound interesting. Haricharan lets the beats to do the talking, but is still determined to command the listener's attention.

Vijay Anthony packs his trademark punch.

Kola Kuthu…
Singers: Vijay Anthony
Lyrics: Annamalai

Vijay Anthony and Sneha deliver the high voltage song, but the overall impression is that of the lyrics and vocals being lost in the music. Alas, it is another forced kuthu song, which makes you wonder why the extremely talented Vijay Anthony is always trying too hard to re-master his previous hit, Nakku Mukka.

Un Kannai Partha Piragu...
Singers: Karthik, Ramya
Lyrics: Priyan

The addictive vocals of Karthik glue you to the song right from the beginning note. Ramya hums certain verses, while Karthik is the main show-stealer here. There aren't many singers out there so clearly singing with such refreshing abandon. The floating and mellow lyrics by Priyan and Vijay's peppy composition only add more beauty to
the song. It's a track that is as subtle as it is sublime.

Kadai Poduran…
Singers: Krishnan Mahesan
Lyrics: Annamalai

What can't be denied is that the track easily deserves its place in the play lists of modern-day collegiate grungesters. We have got nice rap composition sprinkled with English versus and professional cool elements mixed up. Krishnan Mahesan gets an honorable mention as a rap enthusiast. This song gets points for its catchy lyrics and hipster vibe.

Ullangai...
Singers: Sangeetha Rajeshwaran
Lyrics: Annamalai

Vijay Anthony, with his minimal electro throbs and dreamy interludes produce a simple song that is alluring.

Paired with Sangeetha Rajeshwaran's warm, engrossing voice, this song become much more than just a simple melody. The lyrics (Annamalai) dig deep into the emotional territory making it a beautiful soothing song.

Yuvan Yuvathi is a mixed bag for youth, with hippy dance-floor tracks to soulful melodies and peppy numbers that deserves a special appreciation for the efforts put by Vijay Anthony. "24 hours" and "Kadai Poduran" for its youthful spirit and "Un Kannai Partha Piragu" for its scintillating melody are meant to be adored.

Verdict: Yuvan Yuvathi is good collection of youngish and stylish songs.

It was all started after Silambarasan and Bharath fight came out in public.
