Kollywood hottest star Ajith is frequently on headlines for the latest happenings of his career. It was a few hours ago we have reported that he is charging Rs 17 crore as his remuneration for producer AM Ratnam film. Now we hear something about Ajith-AM Ratnam film.

The latest talk joining the bandwagon is that Ajith might do the remake of Telugu film Dhookudu, produced by AM Ratnam.  Dhookudu features Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu and Samantha in the lead roles. The first screening of the film recently took place in Chennai and Ajith made his presence for the screening.  Thala was thoroughly impressed with the script and immediately decided to do the film. The film has a racy script blend well with plentiful dosage of comedy and romance.

Dhookudu is one of the most-awaited and expected biggies of Tollywood which is going to hit the screens this weekend.

Siddharth has finally apologized to journalists

Finally, Siddharth apologizes the press
Southern Stud Siddharth has finally apologized to the News Channels and the journalists for his controversial statements made in the twitter earlier. When Sid made such statement on News Channels, the Film Newscasters Association of Electronic Media (FNAEM) has lodged a complaint in AP Film Chamber of Commerce and South Indian Film Chamber of commerce to ban him and has demanded an unconditional apology from the actor.

Now Siddharth has finally apologized in the same twitter, "In reference to one of my tweets in the past regarding certain news channels -My comment should have targeted only them for their actions but not their families. I understand that this has upset the journalistic fraternity & their families. As this was not my intention, I wish to apologize to the families of journalists for hurting their sentiments in any way. Thank you."

Anjali playing Bharath's lady love in Aravaan!

Anjali pairs with Bharath in Aravaan!
Actress Anjali is all set to pair opposite Bharath in Vasantha Balan's next film Aravaan. The grapevine has it that Anjali is doing a cameo role where she plays Bharath's lady love.

She recently appeared on screen with Engeyum Eppothum opposite Jai which striking gold at the box office. Even in Mankatha she pulled off good performance opposite Vaibhav. Aravaan is going to be her second film with Director Vasanth Balan after Angadi Theru. The film is based on a popular novel Kaval Kottam written by Su Venkatesh.

Aravaan features Aadhi, Pasupathy, Archana Kavi and Dhansika in the lead roles while Pasupathy and Kabir Bedi plays a pivotal role. Actress Swetha Menon is playing a cameo role of a Dasi in the film. Music is scored by playback singer Karthik.

It looks like Anjali is going to stay here for a longtime!

Velayudham is Vijay's first ever high budget film

Vijay, Hansika, Genelia starrer Velayudham is busy wrapping final part of shoot in Srinagar. According to the schedule the team will be completing the final song shoot by today evening. Meanwhile the talkie portion of the film has completed its editing and the song which is getting canned has to be included and the first copy will mostly get ready by the month end.

Buzz is that the film is made with a whopping budget of Rs 48 crore, and this has set a record in Vijay’s career by being the costliest film in his career till date. Especially the introduction song of Vijay is shot with a huge amount of Rs 2 crore. Vijay plays the role of a milkman while Hansika and Genelia will star as his love interests in the film. There is going to be a lot of sister sentiment and Saranya Mohan played the role of Vijay’s sister in the film.

Velayudham is sure to be a block buster hit as it has all right ingredients in right ratio.

Velayudham is scheduled for its release on October 26th, 2011.

Velayutham has no politics but Super Hero - Raja

Velayudham is the first film which is releasing after the new government assumed charge in Tamil Nadu. The expectations are high around Velayudham and Vijay fans are expecting that the film has some political message to convey.

Director Jayam Raja by clearing the air said "There is no platform for politics in Velayudham. The project has started two years back and Vijay was only an actor first and than only he gained significance in politics. In recent elections Vijay has taken a stand in politics but we stood on a firm decision that the film must not carry any political tone. Velayudham will be healthy commercial entertainer".

On speaking about the film he said "Velayudham will take Vijay to the next level in his career. The story would boost him as a super hero who destroys the evil in the society. The film would be a treat for Ilaya Thalapathi's fans".

Osthi's Richa better than Dabangg's Sonakshi

Richa Gangopadhyay the budding star of Kollywood said that her character in Osthi has much scope than that of Sonakshi Sinha's in Dabangg, as the script has been modified.

She added "My role in the film balances glamour and performance in a right ratio. Director Dharani has made the necessary changes to the script for Osthi and the female lead has more significance".

On sharing the screen space with two top actors of Kollywood she said "I am lucky to pair with two top actors of Tamil cinema in the initial stages of my career in Kollywood. Both Osthi and Mayakkam Enna will be landmark films in my career".

It is not just Simbu but the actress is also sharing the screen space with Dhanush as well in Selvaraghavan's Mayakkam Enna, which is set to hit the screens soon.

Within no time Richa is going to turn as a competitor for her contemporaries!!!

Thala has turned to be the most wanted star of Kollywood post to the terrific success of his last outing Mankatha. The film has collected the cost of production in just two weeks, making it the fastest film to turn profitable in recent times.

Moreover the success of Mankatha has made his next project Billa 2, the hottest film among the future releases. The latest pop-up is that a Mumbai based corporate is ready to offer Rs 40 Crore, while a Malaysia businessman is willing to pay Rs 45 Crore for all rights of Billa 2. On seeing the demand for the rights of the film, Sunir Khetrapal of In Entertainment is now demanding Rs 50 Crore, for the rights. This clearly indicates the power of Ajith in trade.

Buzz is that Ajith is asking for a whopping Rs 17 Crore as his remuneration for his next project which will be produced by AM Ratnam. Meanwhile he is busy with the shoot of Billa 2 in Goa. The shoot will continue in Goa until the end of the month and later the team will be leaving to Russia for the third schedule in December.

Billa 2 is scheduled to release on April 14, 2012 Tamil New Year day.

9 Movie releases in Queue for next 9 Days!

9 releases and 9 days!
It is just 9days left for the month of September to end and we have 9 films in queue which are waiting for their releases.

This Friday, September 23rd four films are set to hit the screens- Aayiram Vilakku, Aduthuaduthu, and two other small films. These small films are getting released this week and are shown on television the following week as "puthan puthiya padam"!

Coming to long Navarathri weekend, i.e. September 29 & 30, atleast five films are hitting the screens. Sun Pictures Vedi is going to release on September 29th and this is closely followed by UTV's Muran on September 30. The rest three are going to small films Ra Ra, Thandavam, and others.

Joining the battle on the Tatkal Waiting List, we have Ambuli, Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Ra Ra and Varnam.

Actress Poonam Kaur who appeared in SAC's Nenjirikkum Vare and Payanam is keeping her fingers crossed as her next project in Tamil Vedi is nearing its release date.

Poonam has done a meaty role and moreover it is an important role in the film. She has done the role of Vishal's sister in the film and in the original version Souryam to the actress has done the same role.

Poonam says "I have decided not to do the same role again that I did in the original version Souryam, but I have accepted the offer as the film is directed by Prabhu Deva.  I am happy I got a chance to work with Prabhu Deva master, who I admire a lot. I am planning to do good films by maintaining a fine balance between glamour and performance".
