It is a well-known fact that director Shankar always maintains grandeur in his films. Now he is going to be back once again with Nanban, the quickie in Shankar’s career.

Shankar has recently shot a song on a grandly erected set at a popular studio featuring Vijay and Ileana. Both Vijay and Ileana have appeared in four never seen before get-ups in this particular song. Director Shankar’s team has designed all these four get-ups according to the latest trends and styles. It is revealed that it took nearly two hours for Vijay to put on this make-up and the actor was all patient and supported the make-up team. The makers have spent lot of money for this song and costumes for this song.

The final editing of the film is under progress and Harris Jayraj is busy working on the songs. In all aspects the audio is expected to hit the stores mostly in the month of October.

Vijay & Ileana in never-seen-before costumes

Costumes in Shankar's films have always impressed the audience. Be it the old man getup of Kamal Hassan in Indian or Rajinikanth's superhero look in Endhiran, the filmmaker has been taking an extra care towards his actors attires and make-ups. Now, the director is doing the same for his forthcoming film Nanban.

According to reports, Shankar is leaving no stone unturned to show his lead actors in colourful way on silver screen. The director has chosen special attires and costumes for Vijay and Ileana D'Cruz for a song, which is currently being filmed in Chennai. The actors will be seen in never-seen before getups and different make-ups, add reports.

Vijay is said to be having four special getups and Ileana has some different looks in the song. The actors are spending close to two hours each to get their make-up done and remove it for the song, which is being choreographed by Farah Khan.

Meanwhile, sources have said the rumours on Ileana's ankle injury are false. The actress is fine and actively working on the song. Nanban, which is a remake of Bollywood movie 3 Idiots, will hit the screens in Diwali.

Madhavan-Arya-Bharath in 'Raajneeti' Tamil Remake

http://icdn1.indiaglitz.com/tamil/news/aryamadhavan060911_m.jpg
Bollywood blockbuster Raajneeti is the latest movie, which will be remade in Tamil. UTV Motion Pictures is planning to remake the film in Kollywood with Aarya, Madhavan, Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj and Bharath in the leads.

Arya might do Ranbir's role in the Tamil version of the hit Hindi multistarrer

Politics and films go hand-inglove in Tamil Nadu. And, politically-charged films have often created a stir in the state. Based on this, if rumours are to be believed, a Mumbai-based corporate is planning to remake the Bollywood superhit Raajneeti in Tamil. Arya is said to be the frontrunner to play Ranbir Kapoor's role in the Tamil version.

If the move comes through, the film could be among the biggest multistarrers in Tamil cinema as the original had big names like Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Naseeruddin Shah and Arjun Rampal in the lead. The Kollywood names currently doing the rounds for the project are Madhavan, Arya, Sathyaraj, Prakash Raj, and Bharath. The studio is looking at big-name directors who can pull-off multistarrers, for Raajneeti. Shankar and Lingusamy seem to be the frontrunners for the project.

"But, there are doubts about Shankar signing on the project as he is currently doing a remake with Nanban and might not be keen on doing another remake immediately," says a source. On the other hand, chances are bright for Lingusamy, as the director's upcoming Vettai is being co-produced by the studio. "He has also inked a threefilm deal with them for his other productions which might land him this flick," adds the source.

Nanban re-shoot due to technical problems?

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/298583_198201163576059_195546133841562_573450_880727_n.jpg This is something unusual which is taking place in Shankar’s Nanban. Buzz is that some portions of the film which are shot already might go for a reshoot as they looked out of focus.

Yes, some scenes shot involving Jeeva, Ileana and Vijay using the lens S51 looked out of focus. But the team is not clear as how many scenes were shot using this lens. The director is taking care of this issue and since a reshoot may not be possible, just because big stars are involved apart from huge budget. Shankar is looking for ways to make those scenes look in spotlight with the post production which will not consume much time and the film will release as planned.

The same scenario took place with Simbu’s Vettai Mannan but they have not witnessed such errors. Billa 2 is also in the list as there in plans of using this lens but when they came to know about the errors they cancelled the use of S51.
