Mankatha beats ‘Magadheera’ in Andhra Pradesh
It was something that exceeded the expectations of producers themselves as it spanned a huge collection of Rs 2.5Crores on the first couple of days after release.
The film was released in Andhra Pradesh in half the theatres of ‘Magadheera’ (this Telugu film is considered is considered as the biggest grosser of Telugu film industry during this decade) and has witnessed the equal collection.
Producer Allu Sirish of Geetha Arts (son of producer Allu Aravind and Brother Allu Arjun, who produced 'Magadheera') has said in twitter , "Mankatha 1st week collected as much as Magadheera in AP with less than 50% screens. Thanks to Govt non interference in ticket pricing.."
Mankatha turns 'Gambler' in Telugu
Ajith aka Thala's latest offering, 'Mankatha', has become a rage among the young and his fans are on a 'Mankatha' high, literally. Grapevine has it that Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the Telugu dubbing rights for the film and the dubbing work is taking place at a brisk pace, after which, the film will be released as 'Gambler'.
'Mankatha' is directed by Venkat Prabhu and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Accolades are being showered on Ajith for his performance as a baddie, and for his George Clooney look that has fetched him even more fans, we must say.
The film has a twist at almost every scene and keeps the audience glued to the screens to know who is on whose side and boasts off an ensemble of star cast including Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Premgi, Andrea, Mahat, Vaibhav and many others.
'Gambler' is touted to see light of the day in Andhra Pradesh on September 9.

Few days we have reported that Kajal's comments rushed her to shock now !..In our earlier news we have informed as Kajal Agarwal at Singham movie promotion she spoke to a section of media confessed that she never considered herself as a south actress and this has irked the South filmdom. This led to South film industry to ban her in telugu and tamil films.
