Poonam Kaur is definitely an Indian actress and model. She has frequently appeared in Telugu films aside from Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films.
Born and raised in Hyderabad, India, Poonam Kaur did her schooling there too, before doing fashion designing at the actual National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) within Delhi. In 2006, after her research, she signed up for a film to become directed by Teja, which didn't remove for reasons unknown. However, she instead used the offer for another Teja movie, Oka Vichitram. Even before the release of this film, Kaur was lying the guide role in another Telugu film, Mayajalam, that, in fact, released first.
Subsequently, she appeared in a number of Telugu film as Nikki And Neeraj, enacting the actual title role of Nikki and Souryam, together with Gopichand and Anushka Shetty. For her performance within the latter, Kaur received a nomination for top Suuporting Actress Award for 2008. She made her acting debut within the Tamil and Kannada film industries, along with S. A. Chandrasekhar's Nenjirukkum Varai as well as Bandhu Balaga, respectively. In 2009, she made a comeback in Tamil using the highly anticipated Unnaipol Oruvan, a remake from the 2008 Bollywood film, A Wednesday!, by which she played a small supporting part alongside legendary actors Kamal Haasan as well as Mohan Lal.
