Asin Has Found New Love?

Asin, for whom everyone is mad these days is current playing with Subhaan, 9 year old son of Sajid Nadiadwala.
"During the London schedule of the film, Subhaan just didn't leave Asin's side. He was giving her all the attention that she needed and was making sure that she was well taken care of.
In fact many in the unit even joked that Subhaan was perhaps making a future investment and already preparing himself as being ultra chivalrous,' informs a unit member from London.
No wonder, Asin was heard joking with her friends that while she was used to such pampering from Salman Khan during LONDON DREAMS and READY while Akshay Kumar too was a thorough gentleman during the shoot of HOUSEFULL 2, she felt happiest in Subhaan's company.
"Subhaan is a film buff himself and likes to accompany his dad, especially during the outdoor shoots," says a close family friend, 'In fact as a child artist, he has featured in his dad's films like MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI, HEYY BABYY and HOUSEFULL. Who knows, with the kind of closeness he has developed with Asin, he may land a part in HOUSEFULL 2 as well."

Jiiva doing a direct Telugu film

Popular Tamil actor Jiiva, currently basking the success of his recent political thriller Ko (dubbed in Telugu as Rangam), will soon act in a direct Telugu film.

The actor confirmed this through Twitter stating: "Good news. I will be doing a direct Telugu film." Reportedly Jiiva has already started his preparations and is currently learning Telugu.

One of the busiest actors in Tamil, Jiiva has hand full of projects at the moment, with Nanban by Shankar, Mugamoodi by Mysskin and two forthcoming films with Gautham Menon and S.P. Jananathan.

Friends With Benefits, it works.

Friends with Benefits, directed by Will Gluck stars Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, Patricia Clark, Richard Jenkins, Jenna Elfman and Woody Harrelson. A cute and funny romcom with an all too familiar plot somehow finds its way with witty dialog and some heartfelt family dynamics. Pleasantly surprising but definitely for the adult audiences.

Plot:

Dylan (Justin Timberlake) and Jamie (Mila Kunis) think it's going to be easy to add the simple act of sex to their friendship, despite what Hollywood romantic comedies would have them believe. They soon discover however that getting physical really does always lead to complications.

Friends with Benefits, is savvy with strong sexual content as I stated before, but really I can't stress this point enough for those parents thinking the under 18 crowd can handle this one. The younger group would do better off with director Gluck's Easy A if you ask me. But back to this film, the chemistry between Timberlake and Kunis was sizzling hott! Kunis looked beautiful and Justin...well he's a man fest any day of the week already! ;) The cheesy dialog at times adds to the overall charm of the film, while the movie does take jabs at other romcoms it somehow ends up finding its own way down that road as well. I don't want to give away any major details but I will say that while I'm not a fan of Nicholas *gag* Sparks books and films and I usually dislike movies of this nature, somehow this one dug its way to my sweet spot.

Aside from the sex and goofy nature of our main characters there is also an underlying realness that takes note of and addresses issues such as mental illness, divorce and emotionally unstable families. I found the emotional core only added to the overall likability of the movie. Throw in some classic New York "charm" and pop-culture finesse and you might just find yourself having a great deal of fun. A good date night movie or girls night out film this one is getting a strong; sure, why not? rating from me.

SINGHAM HINDI MOVIE REVIEW (HINDI)

The Golmaal buds are back to do what they do best, loads of dishoom dishoom, cars flying all over and Ajay Devgn projected as the super hero full filmi style in the Reliance Entertainment produced 'Singham'. Apart from the fact that Ajay and Rohit started their filmi career together in an action film Phool aur Khaante as Actor and assistant director respectively, their first movie together as actor – director was also an action film Zameen but then Golmaal happened and the rest as they say is history. Add in the above average 'All the Best' too then the duo's  comedy film repertoire looks as envious as David Dhawan and Govinda's partnership. But this is not a comedy film but the craze of remaking southern masala blockbusters in Hindi has caught the duo's attention too and once again its time for Ajay to flex some muscles. Why not? after the stupendous Gajini, Wanted, Ready and rich southern flavoured 'Dabaang' who would say no to the Tamil blockbuster 'Singam'?

The story is about a small town honest cop Bhajirao Singham(Ajay Devgn) pulled into the big city by a king pin, Jayakant Shikre(Prakash Raj) to show him his political power. With corruption strangulating the existence of Singham and Jayakant Shikre slowly getting more powerful than ever, Singham has to not just use his brawn but brains too to defeat the enemy. But can he do it?

The original Singham did get much recommendation from critics but became a blockbuster thanks mainly to the producers heavy marketing, Surya's star status and some very nicely thought out scenes. The remake takes all the positives from the original and adds few maratha flavour and Singham is all set to roar heavily in bollywood too. But that doesn't mean Singham is all green, it does get monotonous and slow by the mid second half and Rohit also tries a different climax from the original which heavily depends on Prakash Raj's performance, he does succeed but somehow the end just looks like a rushed up job. Not entirely convincing. But that was one of the negative pointers of the original too. There are few scenes where southern flavor just gets too heavy especially the fight sequences but single screen audiences are just going to embrace it with hoots and cheers.

Ajay Devgn has enacted the role with sincerity but looks too tired in many sequences and the power packed scene where the hero challenges the villain in his own lair which was one of the most talked about scene in the original, looks just plain mediocre thanks to the dull recital of the fiery dialogue by Ajay and the support staff's clueless acting. Kajal looks fresh as ever and looks completely at ease with mouthing Hindi language but has little to do acting wise. Prakash Raj seems to have finally captured bollywood too with his menacing performance. The master looks convincing as a Maharashtrian and carries the film effortlessly. Sonali Kulkarni is decent but her character could have been a little less confusing. Sachin Khedekar's character does make you smile but is under utilized. The rest of the talents have done a decent job but nothing extraordinary to brag about.

Cinematography by Dudley is decent but the fake night scenes with artificial flares to light up the character's face is a bad move. Editing by Steven H Bernard, is slick but could have been more brutal in the end. Art Direction by Narendra Rahurikar, is decent but far from realistic, the police lock up with two big windows is a big blunder. Music by Ajay and Atul is decent but none of the songs actually sticks on to you expect 'Maula mere'. Choreography by Ganesh Achariya is not upto the mark and the step he has given Ajay in the first song is just too mediocre to be true. Amar Mohile's background score enriches the visual drama. The action scenes designed by Rohit Shetty and executed by Jai Singh is a treat for action lovers. The 'Red' inspired action scene where Ajay walks out from the swirling car with his gun out brings the whole theatre down.

Overall its a paisa vasool entertainer which has action aplenty and is a sure-shot success in the single screens but with Zindagi and Delhi still bringing in the crowd it would be quite interesting to see how Multiplex audience welcomes this Singham.


What i say: A decent dish with Southern spices added a bit too much

Tamil Movie Kanchana Movie review

Tamil film industry usually carries forth with a difficult experiment of making a horrormovie. Sometimes, they succeed, but not to the core due to some clichés. Then came someextraordinary films like 'Eeram', 'Yaavarum Nalam' and 'Ananthapurathu Veedu'. Thoughthe fearsome experience of the onscreen characters likely seemed to us like a funny moment,we haven't earlier experience a horror film that had substantial element of humour.
Fine! Our take on 'Kanchana' is that it is entertaining in parts, but caters mainly tothe centres of B and C, which of course has a success mark ahead. The film offers goodentertainment carrying the elements that are necessary to keep the audiences fixed to thescreens. To be precise, there are very few sequences that might turn us slightly down, but98% of the film is completely engaging.
We have some tips out for you before watching 'Kanchana'. Yes, keep yourselves brimmedwith least expectations and you will enjoy the film completely.
The film opens with a vacant land being strangely focussed and causing a kind of disturbanceto the people around. Then enters Raghava (Raghava Lawrence), a person with phobia forthe ghosts as it was in 'Muni' and is still accompanied by his mother (Kovai Sarala) to thebathroom during night times… His brother (Sriman) and wife (Deva Darshini) are alwayssupportive to him and care him like a child for his fear for ghosts.
However, mystery starts haunting their home that turns out to be a thrilling experience forthe audience with some funny encounters as well.
Starting off with the analysis, the film has some best performances from the actors. SupremeStar Sarath Kumar enthrals with a surprising acting during penultimate sequences of thefilm. Raghava Lawrence has worked a lot on his part for we can witness a sort of maturity inhis performance. Lakshmi Rai has nothing to perform as she appears in skimpy costumesand has nothing more to score there. Kovai Sarala is a special surprise for her role becomesone of the major attraction.
On the whole, 'Kanchana' is a good entertainment for B and C centres and it can be watchedonce.

Katrina To Face Kareena Onscreen For The First Time

Katrina is not completely out of Salman's……film. Well, it's Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor's forthcoming movie 'Body Guard', which have been in news for some time now.
Our birdies found out from sources that British hot beauty and Salman's ex, Katrina Kaif will also feature in the most awaited movie. But let us tell you it's not for a full length role. In fact the actress will only be seen in a blink-and-miss role.
Salman who plays the title role is said to be bodyguard for Katrina, who will appear for a scene in the movie as herself. Yeah, so that means one can look forward to see this ex-couple, Salman and Kat, together on the screen.
Hmm already they are doing YRF's movie 'Ek Tha Tiger', but before that with 'Bodyguard' looks like one can have a teaser of the two together.
'Body Guard' is produced by Salman's sister Alvira and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri and is being directed by Siddique who directed the original, Malayalam version. The movie is expected to release some time during the festival season of Eid-Ganesh Chathurthi.

Meet The Proud Vegetarian - Amrita Rao

The wonder girl Amrita Rao, a proud vegetarian, has shot for a new pro-vegetarian advertisement for animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.
The 30-year-old looks casual in a pair of shorts and a clingy T-shirt that reads 'Powered by Tofu' in the ad, through which she proclaims: "I Am Amrita Rao, and I Am a Vegetarian".
"I call being vegetarian the Wow Rao diet. Wow because I know that being vegetarian is the best thing I can do for myself, the animals and the environment," Amrita said in a press statement.

"Pulses can get pulses racing, while corpse cuisine slows you down. Kick the meat habit and you'll look and feel better than ever," added the actress, who featured in films like Main Hoon Na and Vivaah.
Rao joins a growing list of celebrities like Lara Dutta, Pamela Anderson, Shahid Kapoor, R. Madhavan and Anil Kumble, who have teamed up with PETA to promote a healthy vegetarian diet.

Venkat Prabhu's new film titled as Neradi Olibarappu

Kollywood renowed and top listed director Venkat Prabhu has recently wrapped the shooting of Thala Ajith's Mankatha movie and is all set to start his new film Neradi Olibarappu which is to be a small budget film.

Venkat Prabhu to direct Neradi Olibarappu which is touted to be a full length comedy entertainer as of his earlier films Goa,Saroja. The pre production works of the film are under progress as Venkat Prabhu is busy in post production works of Mankatha movie. As and when completely himself free from Mankatha he start shooting of Neradi Olibarappu.

Other details of cast & crew are yet to be finalised.Neradi Olibarappu is being produced by Actress Sona Heiden under Uniq Productions banner.

Mankatha first rough copy screened !.

Thala Ajith's Mankatha first rough copy was screened to producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri recently.Dhayanidhi Alagiri who watched the rough copy of Mankatha was excited and pinned the hopes as it was for sure to be the biggest hit of the year.

Dhayanidhi Alagiri while watching the rough copy and tweeted after finishing first half "Watched the first half of Mankatha last night... It has come out rely well... the interval block is a big hit... U guys will love it!!!"

And said about second half in twitter as "Finished watching the second half... I've never seen Ajith Saar in this kind of role... never!!! Outstanding performance!"

Finally the producer of the film said that Mankatha audio will release by the end of July and the movie is slated to release in August.
