Vijayakanth the actor turned politician on Nov 24th launched a one-day fast, protesting the hike in milk price, bus fare and the state government’s decision to revise the power tariff. Vijayakanth was observing the fast at a makeshift pandal in front of his Party headquarters at Koyambedu along with his party members.Vijayakanth said the two fold hike in bus fare and milk price severely affected the poor and middle class people. The actor who not only performed roles as a savior in his films who chases down terrorists, rowdies from kashmir to kanyakumari and defeats them. VIjaykanth proves that he always care for the nation as a hero even off-screen.
The actor’s last film was VIrudhagiri which got released last year had him the role of a police officer and the film had a lukewarm response from the audience too.
