The flick Nanban has been running packed houses in the State of Tamil Nadu with fans rushing in to catch the movie for the weekend. Nanban released in 450 screens across Tamil Nadu, 27 of them being in Chennai alone. Director Shankar, who had the movie release 2 days before the Pongal day is glad to see the response from neighboring regions too.
Karnataka capital Bangalore has shown a special interest for the movie. The wise decision of starring Vijay alongside sexy legs Ileana for the lead has done the trick for the director. Cine lovers just couldn’t resist the tempting offer as ticket counters have remained open and booked for all the shows in the metropolitan city. The movie also stars actor Jeeva and Srikanth playing college mates alongside Vijay, who falls in love with his college professor’s beautiful daughter Ria. Ileana plays the role of Ria, a medical student and Vijay’s love interest. Nanban has received 80% occupancy in theater halls across Bangalore and with the festive mood on the numbers could only get better.
