Billa 2 is all set to become one of the biggest releases of Ajith Kumar’s career. The movie, which is hitting screens this Friday (July 13), is said to be the second big release after superstar Rajinikanth’s Endhiran – The Robot.
Rajinikanth’s Endhiran was released in 2,050 screens in multiple languages. On the other end, Ajith Kumar’s Billa 2 is ready to release in 1,200 screens, which is the highest for a Tamil movie in the current year.
Reports say that in the US alone, it is being premiered in about 34 screens in 28 states on July 12. ATMUS Entertainment in association with GK Media, the overseas distributor which holds the rights of Billa 2 worldwide, is distributing the movie.
In Tamil Nadu, Billa 2 is hitting in over 500 screens. The Telugu dubbed version will be released as David Billa. Both Tamil and Telugu versions will be released in Karnataka. The film is also being released with subtitles in France, Malaysia and Arabia.
The movie, which is a sequel to Billa, also features Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, and Vidyut Jamwal in the important roles. The film, directed by Chakri Toleti, tells the story of David Billa’s transformation from an ordinary man to underworld kingpin.
