Sekhar Kammula's LIB to release on Sep 13
Sekhar Kammula's Life is Beautiful has been postponed once again. The film was being planned for release on August 15 and then there were rumours that it might hit the screens on August 31. However, the latest news is that the film only hit the screens on September 13. Although the film has been postponed numerous times, it might turn into a blessing in disguise for the film since there'll be very few big starrers will aim for a September release. Moreover, Sekhar Kammula is a big brand himself in US and major cities in AP, which will ensure that the film rakes in good moolah at least in its opening weekend. This time, Sekhar Kammula is introducing quite a few youngsters – Abijeet, Sudhakar, Kaushik, Shagun, Zara, Rashmi, Kavya, Naveen, Vijay, Sanjeev and Sriram in Life is Beautiful.
The highlight of the film is that after almost two decades, Amala Akkineni is making her comeback on screen and the film also stars Shriya Saran and Anjala Zaveri in important roles. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music and Thota Tharani had built a special colony set worth Rs 1 crore for the film. Vijay C Kumar is the cinematographer. In an earlier press meet, Sekhar Kammula said, "Life is Beautiful is a coming of age story of six youngsters set in the beautiful nostalgic world of a working middleclass neighborhood. The film will be in the same flavour of Happy Days, although it's set in a city colony." We'll have to wait till September 13 to see what magic Sekhar Kammula is going to create this time.
