Salman Khan Next Movie Ek Tha Tiger Location Details

Salman Khan is back after wrapping up a rather long and gruelling schedule of Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin and Istanbul. The superstar was spotted all energetic and lively at a recent do, but what was missing from his face was a smile.

Having been the dynamo of one of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood history (read Bodyguard) is all the more reason for the handsome Khan to smile. But Salman was spotted wearing a frown on his face.

The superstar was dressed in a collared Being Human tee and jeans at the DY Patil's Annual Achiever's Award in Mumbai.

But the reason for the missing smile on Salman's face could have little to do with his mood than with the nerve disorder Trigeminal Neuralgia for which he underwent a non-invasive surgery in the US more than two months back.

Salman has said that due to the disorder -- which is characterised by intense pain in the face -- he finds it hard to even smile.

In an interview he had also hinted that despite the surgery, the disorder isn't fully cured and he might undergo another operation.

We just hope Salman is in fine fettle soon for we can't wait to see his charming smile again! Inshallah!

Superstar Says 1st is Sultan and Next Raana

Superstar Rajnikanth is fit at last to start his film Raana that was to take off early in April this year.
But there's a problem. Raana has tough scenes like Rajnikanth riding a horse and several fight scenes and this demands Rajnikanth to be very strong. And Rajnikanth's family is cautious about his health and therefore don't want him to rush to shoot Raana.

Raana may be delayed for some more time. Although earlier rumors were adrift about the possibility of Raana kicking off soon, there doesn't seem to be anything promising happening in that direction. But Rajnikanth will focus on the animated film Sultan the Warrior that has been in production for some time now. Sultan the Warrior is produced by his second daughter Soundarya and will have Rajnikanth dubs for his character in his own voice.

Billy Crystal Is Back To Host The Oscars!

Now that Eddie Murphy is officially out of hosting the upcoming 84th Annual Academy Awards, a quick replacement has been found... and he's none others than seasoned regular, Billy Crystal, who will step up to take on the role for the ninth time. That's right, folks... ninth time! Here's his confirmation via Twitter below.

@BillyCrystal Billy Crystal

Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show.

It's great to have the good ol' Crystal back. After all, he has plenty of experience for the Oscar-hosting job. The only thing that worries me is the sense of deja vu experience. Then again, I'm sure he has that right comic timing to make people laugh their hearts out.

Gas, Diesel and Petrol Means GDP - Ram charan

http://www.cinegola.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/ram-charan-tej.jpg
The twitter network has become one of the most sought after for the Tollywood folks and their fans. Some of the young superstars have made it their platform to communicate their thoughts. Even Ramcharan Tej is one among them. However, most of the times, his tweets have been more of information and serious stuff.

But recently, Cherry showed a bit of lighter vein. He came up with the following tweet -When our Finance minister says GDP will rise this year, he actually means "Gas, Diesel and Petrol", nothing else

Those who saw the tweet said "This is Ramcharan's first joke on twitter. Just like the way he is outside, he is the same in Twitter also, very reserved and serious faced. But this tweet is like breaking the ice. We are hoping to see more of his natural tweets than just formal and official statements." Let us see what Cherry does.

Don 2 The Chase Continues set to release this Christmas

Shahrukh Khan Don 2 Exclusive Photos

With the SRK starrer Don 2: The Chase Continues all set to release this Christmas, Nariman Films, the producers of the Amitabh Bachchan's 1978 hit, Don, aren't too pleased.

According to them, they had only given Excel Entertainment the right to remake their movie. And since the producers of the remake weren't given the rights to make a sequel, Nariman Films has sent them a legal notice and is suing them for copyright infringement.

The producers at Nariman Films say, "We have raised our objection through our advocates Digvijay Chopra and Iva Bansal."

Confirming that a legal notice has been sent to Excel Entertainment, Red Chillies Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Shah Rukh Khan and Baba Arts, Digvijay Chopra states:

"The remake rights were given only for the film Don: The Chase Begins Again, starring Shah Rukh Khan, by an agreement, which expired in 2009. Thereafter, they never renewed it or even take any prospective rights from Nariman films."

While Baba Arts was not involved in the production, the advocates point out they had originally acquired the rights, which were then sold to Excel Entertainment for Rs 1.25 crore in 2005, with the knowledge of Nariman Films.

Further Iva Bansal explains that without any renewal of the remake rights, Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment have gone ahead and made Don 2.

"Not only have they infringed upon the title registered by Nariman Films, i.e. Don and Don 2: Return Of The King, which in this matter, is a second infringement. The first infringement is Don 2, made without taking the necessary rights as per the law," she states.

Bansal also explains that the title Don 2 has been copyrighted in the name of Nariman Films in January 2005.

"Reliance Entertainment has taken the distribution rights without any No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Nariman Films who hold the negatives of the original film Don. We shall also legally proceed with Paramount Films as we are informed that they are the overseas distributors," she maintained.

When asked why Nariman Films didn't initiate any action against the makers of Don 2: The Chase Continues, before or during filming, the advocates elaborated:

"The reason is because all the production houses and senior and influential members of the film industry made the partners of Nariman films believe by way of undue influence and fraud that they (Nariman Films) have sold all their rights for their original film Don and are in no position to proceed legally to vindicate their right for the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, and even sent a legal notice to Nariman Films to confirm the same."

However, Nariman Films has now come to know from various sources that the advocates they first consulted are on the legal panel of the opposite party.

Now the original producers have approached another law firm and have learnt that the case of infringement, undue influence and fraud, is clearly evident in this case.

"And after learning the same they have taken legal action," summed up the advocates for Nariman Films.

Chopra and Bansal reiterated that they will be taking legal action against the makers of Don 2: The Chase Continues at the High Court as well as criminal courts for necessary relief.

"We will be approaching the courts for stay on the release and promotions as well as confiscating all the Infringed Copies under the Copyright Act," said Chopra and Bansal. Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment maintains, "Whatever we are doing is legal and their charges are false."

'Immortals' is No.1 movie with $32 million - Box Office Revenue

After two weekends atop the box office, "Puss in Boots" was thwarted by a pair of newcomers, "Immortals" and "Jack and Jill," both of which opened to solid numbers.

"J. Edgar" wasn't quite as fortunate, but overall, the box office exhibited life like it hasn't for the past few months, and the top ten ticked up 18 percent over the same weekend last year -- a good sign headed into Thanksgiving. Check out all the details below:

Relativity's "Immortals" became the new box office titan, fending off competition and scoring a strong $32 million opening. While that number pales in comparison to the openings of 300 ($70.8 million) and "Clash of the Titans" ($61.2 mil), it puts "Immortals" ahead of other swords-and-sandals debuts like "Prince of Persia" ($30.1 mil) and "Alexander" (13.7 mil). The Tarsem Singh-directed visual feast, which stars Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto, also revives the ancient epic genre's viability in 2011 after flop openings from "The Eagle" ($8.7 mil) and "Conan the Barbarian" ($10 mil).

For Relativity, a $32 million debut (66 percent of which came from 3-D screens) is a major win. The studio spent a surprisingly small $75 million on the film, and a rep told me on Friday that they were hoping for a $25-26 million start. Now, Relativity is hoping that broad appeal will continue to drive attendance.
The studio's exit polling reveals that "Immortals'" audience was 60/40 percent male/female and ethnically diverse as well -- 35 percent Hispanic, 30 percent Caucasian, 13 percent Asian, and 12 percent African-American.

According to Kyle Davies, Relativity's President of Worldwide Theatrical Distribution, "A lot of people are enjoying the picture, and when you look down the road going into the holidays, there's just nothing for the action fans, so I think that's good for us." But will the film actually continue to perform well into the Thanksgiving holiday?

That could be difficult.

"Immortals" looks like it may already be suffering from the fanboy effect, which occurs when eager sci-fi fans rush out to the theater en masse on opening night, thereby inflating numbers on the front end of a film's box office run. This can often lead precipitous drops in the days/weeks that follow. Just look at "Immortals'" weekend trajectory: the flick earned $15 million on Friday, followed by a 32 percent drop to $10.2 million on Saturday (while the rest of the Top 10 increased by an average of 8 percent), followed by a more-standard 33 percent decline to $6.8 million on Sunday.

Davies attributes the large Friday-to-Saturday drop to the fact that Veterans Day fell on a Friday. He claims that with kids out of school all day, Fridays numbers were boosted substantially. We'll have to wait and see how "Immortals," which earned an alright "B" CinemaScore grade, does in the weeks to come.

In second place (for now) was Adam Sandler's latest comedy, "Jack and Jill," which scored a $26 million debut out of 3,438 theaters -- good for a $7,563 per theater average. Sony's $80 million picture performed within expectations, but when compared to the rest of Sandler's bawdy mainstream comedy wheelhouse, this is one of his poorer results, and his worst live-action comedic opening (not including 2009′s death-themed dramedy "Funny People") since "Little Nicky"'s $16.1 million bow in 2000.

"Jack and Jill" received atrocious reviews, and while those have never stopped Sandler's films from succeeding in the past, there is a sense that the summation of so many truly awful critical reactions back-to-back-to-back -- when not balanced by winking affection for lovably dumb films like "Big Daddy" and "Anger Management" -- may actually be hurting Sandler's golden box office record.

That being said, it's too soon to write off "Jack and Jill." Working in the cross-dressing comedy's favor is a family-friendly PG-rating, which could help "Jack and Jill" hold nicely with parents and children as we move into the extra-lucrative holidays -- although "Happy Feet Two," "Hugo," "The Muppets," and "Arthur Christmas" will provide ample competition. But the comedy, which received a fair "B" CinemaScore grade, will have to work very hard to reach the $100 million plateau that Sandler is so used to.

After two weekends in first place, "Puss in Boots" settled for third (though it may swap places with "Jack and Jill" once final results are released tomorrow) with an estimated $25.5 million. The "Shrek" spin-off only dropped 3 percent last weekend, and this time around, "Puss" scored another terrific 23 percent decline. The $130 million DreamWorks picture, which looked like a bust when it opened, has now earned a robust $103 million. With a Thanksgiving boost, "Puss in Boots" should march right past the $160 million mark with ease.
"Tower Heist" drooped 45 percent this weekend to $13.2 million, giving the $85 million Universal caper a ten-day total of $43.9 million. The one-two punch of Brett Ratner's Oscar ousting and "Tower Heist"'s underperformance have certainly taken the director down a few notches this week.

Rounding out the top 5 was Warner Brothers' $35 million biopic "J. Edgar." The Clint Eastwood film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as infamous FBI figurehead J. Edgar Hoover, earned $11.5 million out of 1,910 theaters, giving it a solid $6,005 venue average. The tepidly reviewed drama opened slightly below Eastwood's last tepidly reviewed drama, "Hereafter," which earned $12 million in its first opening weekend last year. "J. Edgar" may finish in the same range as "Hereafter," which grossed $32.7 million total.

The film played much like Leonardo DiCaprio's 2008 misfire "Body of Lies," another film that paired him with a prestige director (Ridley Scott), but didn't connect with audiences and opened with $12.8 million. For DiCaprio, "J. Edgar" is no "Inception" or "Shutter Island," but the star has always modulated between mainstream crowd-pleasers and smaller, more serious fare, and his star is not in danger. Audiences issued "J. Edgar" an uninspiring "B" CinemaScore grade.

In limited release, two films stood out. After being available on-demand for a three weeks, Lars Von Trier's "Melancholia" still debuted with a solid $265,000 out of 19 theaters, leading to a $13,947 per theater average. Meanwhile, Emilio Estevez's directorial effort "The Way" has quietly hiked all the way to $2.6 million over six weeks ($334,000 from 171 locations this weekend), despite never playing in more than 283 theaters. The Martin Sheen drama is clearly experiencing good word-of-mouth on a small scale, so it will be interesting to see if "The Way"'s distributor, Producer's Distribution Agency, pushes the film any harder in an effort to garner awards attention.

In milestone news, "Paranormal Activity 3" has now earned $100.8 million after five weekends thanks to its $3.6 million frame. It has grossed $189 million worldwide against a $5 million budget. Where's the sequel announcement, Paramount?

1. Immortals -- $32 million
2. Jack and Jill -- $26 mil
3. Puss in Boots -- $25.5 mil
4. Tower Heist -- $13.2 mil
5. J. Edgar -- $11.5 mil

Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 at GIFTH AWARDS in May

Director Milan Luthria is one busy man these days. Apart from his new movie The Dirty Picture, he is also focusing on his forthcoming film, the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The sequel will have Akshay Kumar essaying the lead role.

In the sequel, Akshay will play a romantic Dawood Ibrahim. Milan Luthria says, "the latter promises a different take on the underworld. Unlike the original, it'll show the romantic side of underworld in a big way."

Any guess on who would be playing Akki's lady love in the film? Well, if buzz is to be believed, Milan and producer Ekta Kapoor might just rope in Kareena Kapoor. Apparently, Bebo has even read the script.

The director stresses on the fact that the film sequel will see less of violence and more of love and romance. It would be a happy and entertaining film.

Ranbir's Rockstar Hindi Move Review

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXVWrFM-vYzXwVBeVPfrDeMU565uJti62rRy-i1u3pxnYaRDd_SsoA01WMbK2k8oy_AZ3x6tAOvxQnEn-nJ4Pzv8PciGDRSqcCg5j_dO-OI7-FXn6Mvfr6U5HsUteQirl5P5Av8HqoU00/s400/rock+star-musicfunbd.blogspot.com.jpgStarring: Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Shammi Kapoor, Kumud Mishra
Direction: Imtiaz Ali
Music: A R Rahman
Production:
 Dhillin Mehta

Now that SRK's latest has fizzled out, the stage is set for RK to come and flaunt his box office power. Ranbir Kapoor has a healthy success rate and he does boast of a good opening weekend pull for his movies. Added to RK's star status, director, Imtiaz Ali also has followers after giving hits like Jab we met and Love Aaj Kal. So the stage is set for this Rockstar to impress, only to add in Rahman and we expect nothing short of magic. And the director has fulfilled it, well – partly!

The movie is about Janardhan (Ranbir) a wannabe musician who just doesn't know how to crack into the music field. Something is missing and he finally figures out that all great artists have one thing in common – pain. And he decides that if he had a heart break he can achieve greatness. He proposes to the most popular girl in college expecting her to turndown the offer and he can become big but things don't go as planned. He does become a famous Rockstar when he is in love but is just not ready to let go. What happens next is for everyone to experience and enjoy and mere words cannot do justice to the magic Imitiaz has in store for the audience.

The movie is an experience one should not miss but at the same time this is not a movie for everyone. It will test your patience and some people might feel lost with the complicated non-linear way of storytelling. But if you can get through the pace 'Rockstar' is surely a treat to watch. Imitiaz Ali's first movie was about the protagonist running away from responsibilities, the second is running away for love, the third being running away from love only to talk about the protagonist running toward his dream in his fourth venture. He keeps on impressing you and this movie seems quite away form his comfort zone and yet he has come out with a spectacular display of his talents as a master storyteller. The scenes in the dargha, just after Nargis says no to Ranbir when he first proposes and the scene in which Jordan (Janardhan changes his name to Jordan) sings with several prostitutes 'Duniya ne humko diya kya' and the scene after that proves again and again that we are seeing a master at work.

But Rockstar would not have been this impactful if not for Ranbir, he has proved his mettle in Wake up Sid, Rocket Singh but he encompasses to greater height in this movie. Future of Hindi cinema is indeed in good hands. Nargis Fakhri looks fresh and impresses at the start but once the story starts demanding emotions she is just not able to cope. Unfortunately the whole movie also depends on how Nargis carries off her role and that is one of the biggest drawbacks for Rockstar. But she does share scintillating chemistry with Ranbir.  It was emotional to see Shammi Kapoor the last time on the big screen and it was also heartening to hear in a Chennai theatre several claps alongside mine when he first came on screen. A legend of the highest order. Aditi Rao Hydari suffers due to an undeveloped characterization but still impresses in the few scenes she gets. Kumud Mishra is splendid. Piyush Mishra just blows you away, as always, a rare gem indeed. Shernaz Patel enacts her part with conviction. The rest of the cast too has handled their role with complete understanding.

Technically the movie is superior, with spectacular cinematography by Anil Mehta – his work in the Dargha alone can stand testimony of his expertise. Editing by Aarti Bajaj, is haphazard mainly due to the complex screenplay but overall its a neat job. The movie could have done away with at least 15 minutes but that's just me. Art direction is exceptional as well. But one man just out shines the rest and takes all the credit and its none other than Rahman who has provided with one of his best album. This can very well be in his top ten lists which is no mean achievement.  'Naadan Parindey' and  'Jo bhi Mein' will keep on echoing in your mind long after the show is over. It's Magic! Pure Magic!!

Imitiaz Ali does try to make that lasting impact movie (eg. Ek Dhuuje Ke liye' or 'Tere Bin') but Nargis just spoils the fun. But people who love music will love this extraordinary journey of a musician, and even if you don't you will fall for Ranbir or Rahman or both.

What i say: In the world of Rahman, better to say it is perfect album than good movie.
