The first schedule of shoot will commence from 27th October in Chalakudy forests in Kerala. Later, the unit will fly to China for filming major portions and the makers are presently on plans to get the permission for the film.
Samaran has Trisha as the leading lady and Prakash Raj in a vital role. Vishal's brother Vikram Krishna is producing the film under their home banner GK Film Corporation. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music while Richard Nathan is handling the cinematography.
