Vijay TV has organized a specially designed mobile unit to go to important places around Tamilnadu wherein celebrities and fans of Super Star Rajinikanth get to send their birthday message and sing in the specially designed scroll to wish him.
The Rajini Rasigan Express was flagged off by Producer AVM Saravanan and Director S.P. Muthuraman on 28 November 2011, at AVM studios. The van travels across Tamilnadu starting from Chennai and visiting Rajini fans in districts viz. Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur Kangeyam, Karur, Madurai, Tanjore, Pudukottai, Trichy, Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Pondy, Cuddalore, Vellore, Kanchipuram and will be back to Chennai on December 9th, 2011.

On account of this occasion, Vijay TV celebrates Super Star Rajinikanth’s 61st birthday and airs specials programmes through out the day on December 11th 2011 which is spread out as many phases. Including a road show, talk show and many other interesting shows to keep Rajini fans glued into the television sets. Rajini’s die hard fans are taking part in a relay torch marathon that stars from Bangalore and finishes at Chennai. All these celebrations are to air on the Channel.
