3 has always been my film: Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan looks like an oil painting. Touch her and she’ll smudge.
At the moment, her latest film 7 aum Arivu, despite its incoherent content is one of the top grossers of the year. Naturally she’s on top of her game and is happy to be a part of its success streak.
The actress who is shooting near Mahabalipuram for 3 opposite Dhanush spoke to and confesses :  “I am lucky to be part of big films be it in Telugu or Tamil”. She’s also drawing all the stares because she is the heroine in Gabbar Singhthe remake of Dabangg in Telugu opposite Pawan Kalyan.
Talk about 3 and Shruti is all smiles: “ This is probably one of my fastest shoots so far. Aishwarya is not only the first woman director that I am working with, but one of the most professional team that I have come across. There was a bound script and perfect planning made us complete the film in record time. I will be completing the film in the next two days, and then I’m off to Pollachi for Gabbar Singh”
Speak about the script and her role, Shruti is enthralled: “3 has always been my film. I saw the movie before it was made. I could envision it when I heard the script and it was wow! The story was amazing and I thought if I’ve got this opportunity I should give it a shot.  That’s why after my initial dates issue, I came back into the project”.
The conversation goes into her Facebook impersonator: “ All I have to say that this person who is interacting with a lot of my fans and friends is not doing the right thing and I warn everyone who is following me on FB that it’s a fake id.”

Osthi will take me places: Richa

Richa Gangopadhyaya is basking in the glory of Mayakkam Enna’s success. Now she is awaiting the release of her next Osthi opposite Silambarasan on 8 December.

‘In Osthi, I play the role of a rustic village belle. It’s in sharp contrast to the role I played in Maykkam Enna. The character is similar to Sonakshi Sinha’s role in Dabangg. In fact, I had to gain some weight for Osthi. I had to shoot for both films back-to-back and it was hectic. However, I’m on cloud nine as Mayakkam Enna has scored at the box office,’ she says.
On her role in Osthi, she says, ‘in Osthi, you will see me dancing and singing along with Simbu and it’s a commercial film.’
Osthi will be on par with Dabangg. Director Dharani has done a fantastic job and everyone will love the film, she adds.
Interestingly the movie has peppy numbers set to tunes by S Thaman. The songs are already topping the charts.
The movie will have a grand release across the globe with maximum number of prints

Anushka perform an ‘item number’

Leading Telugu and Tamil actress Anushka Shetty a.k.a. Anushka has agreed to perform an ‘item number’ in an upcoming Telugu film. Anushka is one of the most sought-after heroines in both the languages and reportedly commands and gets a hefty sum as her fee to star in these films. Considering her market value, producers hardly think twice before shelling out the money to be paid to her.

This year, Anushka has had a quite satisfactory stint in Tamil films. Both her films, though divergent in nature, earned her critical acclaim. While Vaanam showed her depicting the role of a sex-worker with ease, her second release Deivathirumagal had her playing a protagonist advocate out to seek justice to a mentally challenged person (played by Vikram) who was fighting against odds to get the custody of his daughter.
She has reportedly committed to dance for an ‘item number’ in an upcoming Telugu film titled Gabbar Singh. The film is the Telugu remake of the Bollywood hit film Dabbangg which starred Salman Khan and debutant Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. Munni Badnaam Hui, which was hottie Mallika Arora-Khan’s ‘item number’ in the film, went on to become a huge hit and had become quite a rage across North India.
Anushka is all set to shake her sexy hips for the song equivalent to that of Munni…. in the Telugu version. Incidentally, Dabbangg has also been remade in Tamil as Osthe starring Simbu in the lead and is expected to release next Friday. Bollywood’s Hollywood-bound actress Mallika Sherawat has starred in the ‘item number’ in the Tamil version which has been sung by veterans L.R. Eswari and T.Rajendhar.
Anushka has said that she agreed to star in the dance sequence because she liked the song very much. Whatever be the case, we just can’t wait till Anushka’s ‘item number’ is filmed; can we?

However, Jiang Wen's well-praised action comedy LET THE BULLETS FLY which was nominated for nine awards, managed only to snag Best Adapted Screenplay (Zhu Sujin, Shu Ping, Jiang Wen, Guo Junli, Wei Xiao, Li Bukong) and Best Cinematography (Zhao Fei).

Last but not least, Taiwan's huge hit and Hong Kong's current highest-grossing movie of the year on the teen drama YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE which has bagged four nominations, only took home Best New Performer (Ko Chen-Tung).

Now take a first look below at Keanu Reeves as the samurai named Kai in Carl Erik Rinish's upcoming action thriller 47 RONIN, which is scheduled for a November 22, 2012 release.

In the meantime, here's the synopsis below:

Kai (Keanu Reeves), an outcast who joins Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada), the leader of the 47 Ronin. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honor to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors. … Inspired by styles as diverse as Miyazaki and Hokusai, Rinsch will bring to life the stunning landscapes and enormous battles that will display the timeless Ronin story to global audiences in a way that's never been seen before.

A samurai movie in the way that's never been seen before? Sounds intriguing enough, but hopefully it's not all gimmick.

Christian Bale Has Few Things To Say About His Co-Stars In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES!

In a recent interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer about working with Zhang Yimou in an upcoming war epic, THE FLOWERS OF WAR, Christian Bale has also shared his juicy thoughts about his co-stars -- Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt -- in Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

On Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman:

I had plenty of scenes with Anne. And I was there when we did the screen test for her. The thing that I said to Chris [Nolan] that day was that there were many very accomplished actresses who had read for the role. I'm terrible at auditions, so I'm very impressed when somebody really seems to acquire an ownership of a character without having worked on it or prepared for some amount of time.

I saw that in Anne. When Chris watched the screen test, he agreed that Anne did a wonderful job. In many ways, she has the hardest job. There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne's role as being the toughest job of any of us. In my case, I've stopped referencing outside sources. I now reference Chris' own world of Batman as a guide to what I will continue doing.

On Tom Hardy, who plays Bane:

I like working with him a great deal. He goes the whole hog. I know that Bane has been seen in movies before. But, in my eyes, Tom is essentially creating Bane for the first time so there's great freedom for him to be able to do so.

On Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who plays John Blake:

Joseph is a very intriguing guy. I would see Joseph's performances in other films while we were filming. He's somebody who truly seems to love acting. He's a good, smart guy. He did a very good job in the movie.

Lastly, Bale himself has once again confirmed that THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is definitely the end of his journey as the Bat.

I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I'm taking that cowl [Batman hood] off. I believe that the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it's all done. Everything's finished. It's me and Chris – that will be the end of that Batman era.
